It looks like the Sugarhouse Online Casino in N.J. will soon offer a sports book as well. It will come from the Golden Nugget. They are touting " player friendly odds " . Sugarhouse will use Paypal as a deposit method.

Not yet.

It is not offshore. It is just an online casino right now with a license in New Jersey. The officials said it will be a sports book soon.

SugarHouse Sportsbook

One of the first to launch in NJ’s legal online sportsbetting market, SugarHouse Online Sportsbook offers a generous first deposit match bonus of up to $250. Find all of the major sports available including NFL, NBA, and MLB

SugarHouse Sportsbook launched in New Jersey on Aug. 23, one day after playMGM, becoming the third online sports betting site in the Garden State.

For new players, SugarHouse Sportsbook offers a great first deposit match bonus of 100 percent up to $250. Players who sign up at SugarHouse Sportsbook and use the promo code 250MATCH will get the deposit bonus. It is encouraged that players deposit $250 in order to take full advantage of the offer.

Because SugarHouse combined its NJ online casino with its online sports betting site, the money deposited can be used for either casino games or sports wagering.

SugarHouse is owned by Rush Street Gaming, which also owns the Philadelphia casino with the same name and the three Rivers casinos in Pittsburgh, Illinois (Des Plaines), and New York (Schenectady). It operates its online casino (and soon, its sportsbook) in New Jersey by virtue of Golden Nugget Atlantic City‘s gaming license.

Ironically, SugarHouse will almost certainly beat its land-based counterpart to the online sports betting market. Golden Nugget has plans to enter soon, but not as quickly — the Atlantic City property just opened a temporary facility in the past two weeks.

Start Playing At SugarHouse Sportsbook And Get A $250 Match Bonus [h=2]SugarHouse Online Sportsbook FAQ[/h] [h=3]When will the SugarHouse Sportsbook launch in New Jersey?[/h]
Soon. There are numerous rumblings about an imminent debut. It could happen any day now. [h=3]What will the site look like?[/h]
Rush Street has partnered with European sportsbook developer Kambi to handle the sports betting side of the site. Kambi has designed numerous sportsbooks, including the one for DraftKings. So, there are a few aspects we can comfortably predict to appear. [h=4]VARIETY[/h]
The DraftKings Sportsbook has almost every type of sports betting known to man on it. Obviously, the typical point spreads, moneylines, and totals bets appear, but so do parlays, propositions, and a rather extensive in-game betting system.

Rush Street has enough resources to develop a similarly-complex site design. So, there’s no reason to assume that the SugarHouse offering will be less varied in its scope. [h=4]FLEXIBILITY[/h]
Another feature of many Kambi products is the flexibility and accommodation of the software. Innovations like the DraftKings betting carousel ease the burden on players when it comes to finding their preferred bets.

DraftKings also accepts bets as inexpensive as $0.10. SugarHouse may want to include as many New Jersey inhabitants in its customer pool as it can, regardless of their betting limits. [h=4]CONSISTENCY[/h]
Consistent branding is essential for welcoming customers to a new portion of business. A new sportsbook must comfort new customers by maintaining its branding and color scheme as much as possible.

That’s why the DraftKings Sportsbook carries the familiar green and black colors and the “crowned-D” logo. For SugarHouse, there’s no reason to suspect its sportsbook won’t feature the blue and white “SH” logo and the light gray background that adorn its NJ online gambling site. [h=3]What kinds of bets will I be able to make?[/h]
At this point, there is no indication that any particular type of bet will be off the table. Just from a competition standpoint, SugarHouse will have to offer all the wager types that most sportsbooks welcome. So, here are the bets you will likely be able to make:
  • Point spreads
  • Moneylines
  • Totals
  • Futures
  • Propositions
  • Parlays
  • In-game
Whether or not some of the quirkier betting types will appear remains to be seen. So, teasers, pleasers and alternate lines are a question mark, at this point.

It is also unclear if SugarHouse will feature a live ticket system that matches the one at DraftKings. DraftKings allows players to cash out their tickets for reduced payouts at almost any point during a particular contest, but SugarHouse may not choose to follow. [h=3]What kinds of bets will I not be able to make on SugarHouse?[/h]
With so many bet types available, it may seem like nothing will be forbidden at SugarHouse. However, New Jersey’s sports betting law does contain a few prohibitions that affect all sportsbooks in the state.

So, the following bets will not be available when SugarHouse launches:
  • High school sports of any type are not permitted
  • Collegiate sporting events that take place in the state of New Jersey are not eligible for wagering
  • Bettors may not bet on sports contests involving colleges from the state of New Jersey – primarily, this rule will affect games involving Rutgers, Seton Hall and Princeton
  • Key participants in a particular sport – players, coaches, referees, trainers, etc. – may not wager on that sport at any level.
[h=3]What age do players have to be in order to place sports bets?[/h]
21. All live and online gambling in New Jersey requires players to be 21 or older. [h=3]If I am a SugarHouse Rewards member, will my sports betting count?[/h]
Almost certainly. The VIP program for its online casino will likely transfer over to the sportsbook as well. [h=3]How can I deposit and withdraw on the SugarHouse Sportsbook?[/h] [h=4]DEPOSITS[/h]
Again, the online casino options provide a clue for what kinds of options to deposit will be on the sportsbook. So, the following options may be available for players wishing to make online sports bets:
  • Cash at the Golden Nugget Atlantic City cage
  • ACH/Echeck
  • Neteller
  • Online bill pay
  • SugarHouse Prepaid Card
  • Wire transfer
  • 7-Eleven PayNearMe
  • PayPal
[h=4]WITHDRAWALS[/h]
Of those methods, four will likely be available for withdrawals as well. They are:
  • Cash at the GNAC cage
  • ACH/Echeck
  • SugarHouse Prepaid Card
  • Neteller
  • PayPal
It may also be possible that wire transfers will be available. There’s no indication of such on the SugarHouse online casino, but the ubiquity of the method may lead to its inclusion here. [h=3]How do I contact support if something goes wrong?[/h]
SugarHouse support will be available via email 24/7. If you need more immediate assistance, there will be a live chat function from 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. EST.

You can also try calling (855) 752-9101 if you prefer to use the phone. However, the hours of availability for this method are more limited than the other two options.

There will also be an extensive FAQ to assist you. It may reduce your frustration level if you look there first before reaching out.

To somewhat answer my own question:
[h=1]Which NJ Online Gambling Sites Allow Players To Use PayPal?[/h]
PayPal is widely considered one of the safest and most secure online payments systems on the planet.

It is accepted as a method of payment on millions of websites. Plus, despite an on-again-off-again history with online gambling sites, PayPal is now accepted at several online gambling sites in New Jersey.

PayPal is truly worldwide. It operates in more than 20 markets, in as many as 25 different currencies, and boasts up to 200 million active users. These users employ PayPal to send, receive, and hold funds.

PayPal users can send and receive payments for online auction sites, and buy and sell all kinds of goods and services all over the internet.

Now, thanks to a softening in its policy in regards to online gambling, and an agreement with a number of New Jersey online gambling sites, NJ gamblers can use PayPal to deposit funds to play with and withdraw winnings. [h=2]Which NJ gambling sites accept PayPal?[/h]
PayPal is now accepted as a method of deposit and withdrawal by seven different legal and regulated online gambling sites in New Jersey.

These sites include:
[h=2]Deposits and withdrawals on NJ gambling sites with PayPal[/h]
Making a deposit on an NJ gambling site with PayPal is a three-step process.

First, users must ensure the email address they use for both the NJ online gambling site account and PayPal are the same.

Second, the user must make sure there are available funds in their PayPal account.

PayPal accounts can be funded through a transfer from another PayPal account or direct bank transfer. PayPal also accepts credit and debit cards, but there is a 2.9 percent of the amount plus $0.30 per transaction fee. Plus, several NJ gambling sites claim they do not accept PayPal deposits from PayPal accounts funded by credit and debit cards.

NJ online casino players who successfully make a deposit using PayPal can also withdraw fundsusing the online payment processor. [h=2]Is PayPal safe and secure?[/h]
PayPal is licensed as a money transmitter subject to many of the same rules and regulations governing US banks. As a result, your money is as safe with PayPal as it is with any bank in the US.

PayPal also keeps all of its users personal and financial information safe using uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology.

Additionally, PayPal offers Buyer Protection and Account Protection programs. These programs help solve disputes, prevent fraud, and provide an additional protection.

The truth is, PayPal is one of the most secure ways to fund an NJ gambling site account. [h=2]Are PayPal funded NJ gambling sites safe?[/h]
New Jersey online gambling sites are licensed and regulated by an arm of the State Attorney General’s Office called the Division of Gaming Enforcement.

Additionally, each is either owned, operated, or associated with one of Atlantic City’s brick-and-mortar casinos.

The government oversight is there, and the casino industry has been a trusted one in New Jersey for more than 40 years.

Of course, the government has regulations in place that guarantee the safety of all player funds and the games are rigorously tested for fairness.

The NJ gambling site business is totally above board and PayPal gives it all an added layer of integrity.

Golden Nugget

Golden Nugget is our favorite NJ online casino, and for good reason. It has more than 500 casino games (the most in New Jersey) and offers live dealer games. It also has great deposit options and an easy-to-use online and mobile interface. [h=2]The history of PayPal and NJ online gambling sites[/h]
PayPal launched in 1998, and online gambling sites around the world soon became one of the online payment processors largest business partners.

Online auction site eBay struck a deal to buy PayPal in 2002. Soon after, the U.S. Attorney’s Officeaccused PayPal of processing payments for what it deemed were illegal gambling operations.

PayPal and eBay agreed to pay a $10 million fine to settle allegations they had aided illegal offshore online gambling sites. After that, the company instituted a strict no-gambling transaction policy.

This policy stayed in effect for almost seven years. However, by that time, governments around the world had started legalizing and regulating online gambling. In 2010, PayPal moved back into the online gambling market, acting as payment processors for licensed and regulated sites in Europe.

PayPal proved once again to be interested in working with online gambling sites, but only if they were licensed and regulated by local governments.

Caesars Interactive Entertainment’s NJ online gambling sites struck a deal to start accepting PayPal in 2015. Two sites operating under Golden Nugget Atlantic City’s internet gambling license jumped aboard in 2017.

There are now seven legal, regulated and reputable online gambling sites in New Jersey that accept PayPal.

It also has great deposit options and an easy-to-use online and mobile interface. [h=2]NJ online gambling and PayPal FAQ[/h] [h=3]Are there any fees for using PayPal?[/h]
NJ online gambling sites do not charge users a fee to make a deposit using PayPal. PayPal has credit card fees, but most NJ online casinos will not accept PayPal deposits from accounts funded by credit card.

There are no fees for funding a PayPal account by electronic funds transfer or directly from a bank account. [h=3]Can you use PayPal to deposit without an account?[/h]
Players must create a PayPal account to use it as a deposit method. Plus, the email address must be the same one associated with the NJ gambling site account. [h=3]Can you use someone else’s PayPal account?[/h]
A PayPal account used to deposit at an NJ gambling site must belong to the NJ gambling site account holder. It must also share the same email address. [h=3]Why don’t I see PayPal as a method for withdrawal?[/h]
PayPal will only appear as a withdrawal option once a deposit is made using PayPal. [h=3]How do I make a withdrawal from PayPal?[/h]
PayPal withdrawal options include the same methods used to deposit funds. Plus, users can request an electronic check and check by mail. PayPal users can also obtain a debit card that can be used at ATMs and where most credit cards are accepted. [h=3]What are the pros and cons of using PayPal?[/h]
PayPal offers instant deposits. Plus there are several ways to fund an account. Additionally, PayPal can be used for traditional purchases all over the internet.

There may be credit card deposit fees associated. Plus, the withdrawal process can sometimes be slower than other online payment processors.

cannot bet sports from the website. Only from the app.

Really? That's too bad. Is that their intent, or is the plan going forward to be able to bet on the web also? I know the geo thing works because I'm in NY and all I could do is sign up, but not deposit or anything further. Why would they put the sportsbook on the web, with all the lines, if you can't bet from there?

Actually SugarHouse comes from Pa. they use the Golden Nugget license/NJ approval with the app only. All legal Online Sports bets have to use an app to place a wager in NJ.. You do not have to live in the state but your bets have to be made in New Jersey. It should not work out of state. Sports books in NJ can have up to 3 skins ( just like SugarHouse )

Golden Nugget should have an app soon too but there will be No NBA in 2018-19 , who knows after that.

Quite possibly the worst possible betting interface I have ever seen in an app. The college games are listed in order by date, but they aren't showing lines. You have to open each game to get the lines game by game. Brutal.
