I like how there's long thread on social media showing all the times Trump has encouraged violence over the past 8 yrs. Plus numerous Repubs.
Because the news cycle goes so fast , it's hard to remember how many instances it's happened until someone has curated them into one long clip or thread.
There was one from a recent event in Kansas(i think) and Ted Nugent was a speaker there too.
But out in like a hallway/concourse area there was a training dummy for boxing/mma and it was dressed as Joe and people could pay(donate) money to punch/kick/slap/pummel the dummy(Joe) to let out their "rage" against him.
You have to roll eyes at the nonstop telling of how the Country is absolute garbage since Joe took office, despite almost all numbers saying otherwise. Same was said when Obama took office, immediately it being told how he destroyed the Country.
The only thing that has went up under Joe is the so-called inflation. Which was gonna hit at some point. Trump signed 2 or 3 huge bills during 2020 that added to the debt. That PPP forgivable loan was a straight up money grab. So many Repubs in Congress that own businesses and or their family, got some huge checks. I'm sure some Dems did too. But a lot of Repubs did and then go and complain about the debt. The debt ceiling was raised every yr during Trump.
But, but that TCAJA was gonna trickle down. Same as Raegan, Bush Sr and Bush Jr -it's the same, slash taxes on wealthy and huge corporations and a teeny tiny bit on people making under 100k, and then claim it'll lower the debt somehow. I've never understood that Jedi-mindfuck logic. All it did was increase national debt.
They always point to spending, but the 3 largest gov expenses are Military, SS & medicare/medicaid. AND SS and medicare are a separate tax than the FED tax., and their rates have been stuck at the same amount since like 1990 or some shit like that. And, the pharma gets subsidized by the price gouging.
Actually ALL corporations get subsidized and or big sectors of the economy. OIl/Gas, farming, Mining, Pharma, and basically any expansion by a corporation - they shop around to see which state will give them the best tax breaks and/or exemptions, along w/ Fed tax breaks, grants, exemptions, etc. in order to build or expand.
I've been working for 34+ yrs and have never NOT been able to find a job. There's ALWAYS work somewhere.
Over the course of my life i've noticed a lot of stuff get lower and lower in price, and some things gradually go up over time. It's a mix and balance.
It's also how free trade and capitalism is designed, or supposed to work.
You know how much of a mindfuck it is to constantly hear about gas prices since i was a kid. AND then when you hear how cheap countries like Russia or the Middle Eastern ones can produce a barrel of oil for , and then to think that USA oil should be even cheaper?
Union wages. High dollar paychecks. C-suite execs and bonuses. Shareholders needing stock to be high AND pay dividends , along with USA Made equipment & tools, and every other piece of the supply chain that gets gas to us - AND people think it should get CHEAPER over time?
Yet Trump has constantly talked how he and he alone will make everything cheaper AND at same time wages go up and stock market go up, all while also saying he would eliminate the National Debt, and slash taxes at same time.
It's one constant piss down our legs and tell us it's raining type bullshit.
He wants taxes slashed for HIS benefit and the fed rates next to zero to benefit HIS debts.
And, WHO da fuck pays 50% in FEDERAL tax? Or even 40%, or 30%, or 25%?
All i hear is how high tax rates are, even though they get lower for working class over time relative to wage increases. Well, they are going up this yr, b/c the TCAJA signed in 2017 has the ones for middle class expiring and going up. I'm sure that was by design. Trump thought his 2 terms would end after this yr, or he thought he'd of taken over the Country and be King and could dictate whatever he wanted as taxes. AND only Congress has the power to re-write the expiring tax cuts, and i don't hear the House or Senate talking about trying to do it.
Back to Fed taxes. I've done my own taxes for like 25 yrs. I've never paid a tax rate above probably 12-14%, but also if i deduct the return i get(i think i've got a return almost every year since i was 16, except for a few times) Now, if i add in SS & Med, State, and local City/county taxes, then YES, my total percentage might get up around 20%
BUt just my FED tax rate, has never been that high.
My brother makes around 150k a yr. I just recently had a talk w/ him about taxes( we had talked about how our father, who listens to AM radio and watches FOX and those other channels like War Room, and how our dad never complained about taxes when we were growing up, or for most of his life, until he retired, and now he fixates on stock market, gold prices, gas prices, the weather, etc. and he's been saying last 4-5 yrs how he has to "give" HALF his money to the gov, even though me, my bro and a sis have pointed out how he doesn't "give" HALF his money in taxes, not even close, not even 20%) anyway, i asked my bro what he paid in taxes at making 150k, and he said for just FED it comes out to around 20k, and for ALL taxes it's closer to 35-38k - but then he said after his deductions and whatnot, and his return, that if he calculated it all up, he said he might be at around 25-27% for ALL taxes totaled. And he said it's like "Yeh, would he like to have them lower? Sure. But at same time he says he understands how it all works and the reason he went to college and chose his profession is b/c he'd make more money. And more money means more taxes. That's how it works. Unless you're uber wealthy, then it goes down, percentage wise"
He owns a nice home, in a nice area, has 2 newer cars, eats out almost always, goes to concerts and ballgames constantly, bets the horses all the time, etc. He's like "I'm doing fine."
Got off track.
Back to the shooting.
He was lucky, again. His life is one huge string of luck.
And the reason it was even allowed to happen is a long series of reasons. Guns. Ease of access. The rhetoric. Mental health. People stressed b/c of the rhetoric and nonstop fighting. A breakdown on security.
Plus not Antifa, not BLM, not a trans person. Wasn't registered as a Dem. And real quick, why does it seem like if a shooter, mainly for any mass shooter event, or if a political person was targeted, that they live in a state that has people register by voter affiliation? And if they live in a state w/o registering along a party line affiliation, they will have their social media posted almost immediately and their posts will be shown about how they felt about LGBTQ, or immigrants, or Dems or Repubs, or whatever the angle the motive can be pinned to, which will lead people to automatically be "Well, of course they are a blah blah blah. And probably supported yada yada yada."
Lastly - if anyone is not familiar w/ ex General Flynn(still receiving fat pension checks from the gov) and all his bullshit he's done over the yrs and is constantly still at work behind the scenes and right in front of our faces - it's just not covered enough by larger media outlets - he is bad, bad news.
