2. Congress. Technically, the Vice President can refuse to certify electors, according to several legal scholars review. This is because the law gives the sitting Vice-President the power to declare the electors votes to Congress. We all now how Harris would handle that power. If Pence does not contest, then the Electoral Count Act of 1887 allows for Congress to object if one House member & one Senator both object. (There is a Constitutional argument that any contested elector should be voted on by the House by state delegation, but this has not been historically followed). Under the ECA, each chamber meets for 2 hours, and votes on the objection. There is a conflict in the legal community about whether an objection requires both chambers or only 1 chamber to sustain the objection. If, after all objections have been heard & voted on, neither candidate has 270 electoral votes, then the 12th Amendment sends the vote for the next President to the House of Representatives to vote by state delegation. This Congressional process does not commence until January 6th

There is no more GOP, the Republican party is dead and buried, it's now the part of Trump, it's his party, he got more votes than any R who's ever run for president, he has Republican politicians so scared of him that they'll literally do anything he wants them to do. Other than a handful, no R has even so much as congratulated Joe Biden on winning the election, 126 cowards signed some silly bullshit petition that they knew was a silly bullshit petition, just because they knew Trump, just like Santa, would be checking that list twice, making sure who was naughty or nice, the cowards that signed of course are the nice ones, and they'll have Trump in their corner when they're up for re-election, the ones who didn't sign, well they're the naughty ones, and Trump will shit on them every chance he gets, either via twitter or one of his rallies, those are the ones who Trump won't help get re-elected, and since he has over 70 million followers, whatever he says goes. He's basically a dictator, no different than Putin or Kim, all three have people in their own government afraid of them, of course one big difference is Trump wont have anyone who dares cross him killed, but still, any republican not agreeing with everything trump says will eventually feel his wrath. I have no idea what all this means going forward, I just know that there is no more republican party, it now belongs to Trump, and he isn't going anywhere, anyone who thinks Jan 20 he rides off into the sunset and stays low profile (like all the other former presidents have done), is kidding themselves, whatever he does next, 100% he'll remain in the public spotlight, his ego is too massive to just disappear. If he runs again in four years, who beats him on the right? Who else is getting 70 Million votes?

Sadly, it won't do a thing because a couple of R's in D clothing, led by Manchin, will protect the R position. Manchin already told the R's not to worry, he'll make sure no court stacking, or other needed reforms get through.
