UGH! I know it is one show - BUT GOOD GRIEF THIS SHOW IS UNWATCHABLE.

Morning Drive Time is supposed to be a fun, upbeat & entertaining show. This show is 0-for-3. Having 3 people on Zoom from their house - UGH!

1 year from now this show will be gone. Maybe earlier.
 
Mitch and Pauly replacement admits he doesn't bet because he has two sons that he doesn't want to make uncomfortable

I wish Palm had his own segment, maybe a conflict of interest, nonetheless, he has a good knowledge of every sport
and historical trends and of course he always tells you which side Circa is heavy on.

The Morning Line...listened to about 20 mins on the podcast...couldnt take more than that...zero chemistry but its only day 1...Lombardi sounds hungover.

Follow the Money...as you would think they both sound happy and energized.
 
I usually am glued to Alexa to hear Lombardi's takes because he has some inside stuff.

Today he made me chuckle patting himself on the back after McCarthy announced Trey Lance was third string. He reiterated what he told the world about Lance's shortcomings with the Niners. I chuckled because Rush is the best backup in the NFL, and could start for a handful of teams. This isn't breaking news Rush beat him out as backup 🙄

Wes Reynolds got emotional in his final segment last night on his final shift.

His partner Dave Ross was also let go but was holding it in.

Ditto.

I could only take about 20 minutes of this before I had to stop. I Fast Forwarded thru some of the show on Spectrum. I couldn't take any more of this.

I Know we need to give all shows a chance. I gave this show all of the chance it deserves.

There is no chemistry or flow in this show. All 3 doing it separately kills that. All 3 look like they are being held hostage and making this video to show friends they are still alive.

VSiN got rid of who thy did so they could hire THESE TWO!
 
So Wes is toast?
He would have been OK with Lombardi...not a dynamic show but Im guessing there would have been some chemistry and it would have been a decent show.

he was good with youmans because wes would say something stupid and then matt would call him out on it and wes would backpedal like a white corner covering tyreek hill.

I'll give the shows a few weeks to work out the kinks.

yes this morning show with lombardi was very choppy with no flow but it's day one. give it a few weeks guys.
 
I will say this.

solo shows have to stop on vsin. listening to just one guy ramble for hours isn't worth it.

teams work out better for sports betting as the give and take makes it more entertaining.

this cashing out is a solo show that needs a #2

Probably a poor career move for Mitch and Pauly.

Morning Drive is money. Like someone posted early they are getting paid for Morning Drive. Next contract could be a big drop in pay. I could just see the contract meeting with the executives showing the amount of money and audience lost with the time slot change.

They will lose a lot of their audience.

What hasn't been said here is the REPLAY shelf life of the morning show. I tried listening to yesterday's show this morning and it was not worth my time.

The new time has almost no shelf life. If you are going to do a 7AM ET show you need to move back east. Especially on network that loses money.

He spent time giving his background as someone who doesn't bet.

He admitted it on air.

Just likes to handicap.

He has bounced around which isn't an issue as that's the life you live when in radio/broadcasting

I like grace as she gives off the impression of having a clue when it comes to the betting side
 
I saw a minutes of Tuesday's show.

Lombardi said something along the lines of: That is something we need to know before we bet on a game.

This - after saying on Monday: He does not bet on games.

I understand why Mitch and Pauly wanted a more tolerable to the body time slot...........it's just that being on when they were saw them on TV in SoCal and other places - now they are not.

This morning show won't "live" to see the 2025 MLB season.

Wes Reynolds, Dave Ross and Greg Petersen got let go - so they could hire a pair of nimrods for the morning show?!
 
My guess is they are trying to bring in money with Lombardi on morning drive.

Matt Youman will most likely move to 7AM ET after football since he has volunteered for that spot before.

Only question is who would be his partner?

I thought VSIN major league f****d up when they did not bring on Doug Kezirian when ESPN let him go. Would have brought them credibility. Now - except for a few - that place is a joke.

Where they found Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee to partner with Lombardi is inexcusable. To have the guy admit he does not bet - YOU CANNOT HIRE PEOPLE LIKE THAT! The female is eye candy.

Who would Youmans partner with? Wouldn't even wanna fathom a guess but I do sense they go outside and bring someone in

VSIN pays its hosts 60 to 80K a year.

Doug Kezerian had to be making at least 400K a year with ESPN or more.

Can't see him taking that kind of drop in pay. He is doing his own thing that I don't follow at all.

What VSIN pays brings in low grade material.

I can't comment on VSiN salaries since I just do not know what they pay.

Knowing how ESON works - 0% chance DK was making $400k. 0%. If he made about 1/2 that - that would be expected. No way he was paid $400k, NO WAY!
 
Kezerian was making good money from ESPN. In my opinion VSIN has no shot of hiring him. I'm hearing no one at VSIN makes 6 figures. in life you usually get what you pay for.

Who really needs help is The Southpoint You Tube Channel.

JK would be a better fit there. But the pay would be too low for him to do it.

How I see the landscape is that Sports Betting Talkers make the least amount of money based on how poor the quality is.

I will be stunned if this show "lives" much longer than after the SB.

Putting this show - with these hosts - on when football is over and CBB/NBA as well as NHL and European Soccer is all that is out there will be UGLY!

Lombardi can talk some NBA - huge 76ers fan. Trying to have the other 2 talk March Madness and Championship Week would be UGLY!

I would put Youmans in the 4-7A slot and team him up with Wes or Greg Petersen - but since neither would be there in 2025 - YIKES! Only "solution" I could see is Youmans and JvT together, but JvT has 2 young kids.

100% Scott Cohen's fault. Rather - 100% the Musberger's fault for hiring this clown and letting him FFFFFFFF Up a good thing.
 
Unless it is so off the rails it should live on for awhile past SB...guessing they brought in 2 people for non-football time and Lombardi's days off after football.
Cant see Youmans wanting to get up that early.

I would pay to listen to a Lombardi/Shah show...would be that amusing to me.

Sports by the book at Southpoint announced today that Kenny White will be doing a football show with daughter Alex M-W 9-12 PDT.
Calling the show “Family Matters”. LoL

Useful info ‘signal to noise’ ratio with these two professionals will be legit.
On Monday to Wednesday...

if i was vsin..i would call JK.... give him a blank check and sign it to save the show. Let Jk fill in the amount. Like the bulls management did with jordan
 
I hate it when Youmans and guest cappers say a respected bettors is on such and such side.

Listeners get swayed easily, respected bettor is a relative term.
