I gotta say, given how 'progressives' run roughshod over the Constitution and trample people's liberties and property, I'm very surprised this sort of thing isn't more common.

The AP has reported that the gunman has been identified as Jared Loughner. There's still uncertainty about Loughner's motives and politics. But a Youtube video posted under the name Jared Lee Loughner of Tucson proposes creating a "new currency," and rails against non-English speakers "in District 8" -- Giffords's congressional district.

Two fake facebook accounts have been set up today also so do not go by those either.

I am from the Tucson area and live in Congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords' district. I worked like a dog for her elections when she was in the Arizona House, surrounded by rightwing nutcases. When Arizona re-districted in 2002, a seat opened up and she was right smack in the middle of it. So was I because I live in Oro Valley, Arizona, which is at the heart of that - then - new CD. I was one of several people to talk her into running and pledging complete loyalty and pledging to raise as much money as possible for her.


She ended up running for the first time against a fellow AZ House member, Randy Graf who was a rightwing whacko who advocated guns in bars and was the "Russell Pearce before Russell Pearce" vis-a-vis border issues. With a LOT of hard work and plenty of money, Gabby won. Easier than thought, too. I never like to throw money in people's faces, but i have given Gabrielle Giffords THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars in both good times and bad times for me financially.

Caitie Parker did not immediately respond to our request for an interview, but her "tweets" in the hours after the shooting paint a picture of Jared Loughner as a substance-abusing loner who had met Giffords before the shooting. She says, Loughner described the congresswoman as "stupid and unintelligent."

We've confirmed that Parker and Loughner went to school together at Mountain View High School in Tucson and that both attended Pima Community College, so her claims of knowing Loughner seem to be legit.

Parker "tweets" that she and Loughner were in the band together and were friends until 2007 when he became "reclusive" after getting alcohol poisoning and dropping out of college.

She describes him as "quite liberal" and as a "political radical."

Below is a log of "tweets" posted by Parker beginning around the time of the shooting.

To be sure, the Left's predictable and groundless finger-pointing whenever these kinds of incidents happen in our nation is not at all surprising. As Matt Lewis observed at Politics Daily, the Netroots are way ahead on this blame Palin meme.

Yet, from what we can glean concerning alleged shooter Jared Lee Loughner, he doesn't at all fit the right-wing mold.

A video that he posted at his YouTube channel features a flag burning, certainly not what one would expect from a conservative. Loughner also listed his favorite books including "Mein Kampf" and "The Communist Manifesto."

Liberals love to claim Adolf Hitler and his National Socialist Party were right-wing. However, as Hitler wanted total governmental control of industry and healthcare, his views were quite opposite of what conservatives in America currently stand for, especially Palin, Beck, and members of the Tea Party.

Of course, it is not all surprising liberal media members won't let such facts get in the way of their unfounded accusations.

After all, they never do.

Already, the "lamestream media" is trying to pin this crime on Sarah. Umm, yeah...evidently 'progressives' have never heard of the ol' "sticks and stones" adage, but that's hardly surprising because common sense is not one of their virtues. After all, how retarded do you have to be to pin this on any individual other than the nutjob who pulled the trigger?

I have noticed something about the loony left and maybe you have too...no matter what the issue, EVERYTHING is reactionary without applying any rational or analytical thought whatsoever. The left behaves like Pavlov's dogs -- this title of this thread proves it.

The fact is, both sides lob rhetorical hand grenades to score political points and get the troops fired up. There's nothing wrong with that. I do it myself. Recently, the Kenyan said "if they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun". It's all part of the political environment we live in, for better or worse.

If I were Sarah, I would be contacting my lawyers preparing to soak some of these irresponsible media outlets and bloggers dry. With any luck, she'll shut up these 'progressives' degenerates for good. :thumbsup

NIA is deeply concerned that today?s tragedy will be blamed on the ?tea party? movement and more specifically, supporters of sound money that is backed by gold and silver. The killer was reading Karl Marx, reading Hitler, burning the American flag and was an Anti-God aethiest. That sounds like a Liberal Democrat or Soclialist, but certainly not a Tea Partier.

Alright people. It is time to come back down to earth. Like most, everyone is jumping to conclusions before the fancts are made public. Is anyone in here qualified to profile this guy? If you are, you will notice many similarities between him and other assains. This guy has been linked to an organization that is anti-government, anti-immigration, and anti-Jewish. The Congresswoman is Jewish. She voted for Obama care. She certainly would be a target for this group.

Now let's get to the suspect himself. He fits the profile perfectly. He is a male. He is a loner. He aparently lacks intelligence and common sense. He has been rejected by society. He is easily manipulated. He alligns himself with radical beliefs and radical groups on both ends of the political spectrum. Remember there is at least one other outstanding suspect here. This guy reminds me of Lee Harvey Oswald, the patsy who was set up in the JFK assinination. No doubt that he fired shots at the President. No doubt that he killed a Dallas Police Oficer. There is also little, if any doubt that he was used as a patsy by some other organization, be it the Mob, the CIA, the FBI, or any other numbe of organizations that conspiracy theorists want to add. We know that he did NOT act alone. Aparently this guy did not act alone either. Someone encouraged him, or pushed him into doing ths act.
