I was born in the early 80s

but even I have to say the counter culture of the 60s is number one in my book

others can be debated, but the people growing up today really are fukked in terms of music

I know every generation says their music was better, but I just feel bad for kids today. All the music just seem throw away pop nothing stands out. I doubt Katy Perry will ever be considered a classic.

I guess I should change it to 1966.

That's when the Beatles came out with their album Revolver. The psychedelic era began, and lots of experimenting led to a lot of great music.

Probably late sixtys till before disco took over

Though the period from 89-94 was exceptionally good

People around the age of 30 now had some great music growing up.
Anything from Pearl Jam to Nirvana to sublime to Eazy E to boyz 2 mennnnn

Although I do prefer to hear rock music from the early 70's - mid 70's. There was just so much different stuff to listen to during the early 90's, so it's tough to get better than that....But then again you had the Bob's early on DYLAN AND MARLEY!
