Who has the best EOG team?

Re: Who has the best EOG team?

Each day as the Mets move closer to the beginning of their season, the further Jose Reyes seems to be from playing on Opening Day. The club dances around the issue, and Reyes knows only how much he wants to be there. Perhaps a determination hasn't been made. But each day seems to bring more spoken reasons that would defend and explain having the shortstop seated while his teammates stand on the foul lines at Citi Field on April 5.

Re: Who has the best EOG team?

you guys do realize Kershaw was drafted BEFORE utley, right?

i would have drafted Kershaw in round 2 if he came to me, 100%

ped is not much of a downgrade from utley. they have scored the same amount of pts in the last 2 years

originally offered Jurrjens and Werth for Kershaw but viejo couldnt do it so we added Utley/Ped to give him a bit of an edge, but i needed a bit more also so we added Bailey/Frasor.

fair deal imo. Kershaw was the first drated player out of anyone in that deal

Re: Who has the best EOG team?

wow!

Jair, Werth, and Utley for Bailey, Pedroia, Kershaw?

I think people are taking the keeper aspect too far this early!

Jair and Ultley >> Kershaw and Pedroia

Is Bailey > Werth? Who knows!

Kershaw is a nice keeper. But Utley is a better keeper.

that can't be a serious statement. kershaw went BEFORE utley in the draft, and kershaw went TOO late in the draft. I would have taken him over a few pitchers taken before him. like rj said the guy was insane last year other than the walks and had bad luck with w/ls. he has the stuff to be a top 10 sp RIGHT NOW. Torre has compared him to Sandy Koufax, and i'll take torre's opinion over anybody in this league.

Kershaw and ped >>>>>> utley and jair. not close. Utley is better than ped, but Pedroia was #1 in 08 and #2 in 09 so they are pretty close, and jair and kershaw aren't close at all. Kershaw has cy young potential, jair does not. I think Jair tops out as a good #3 pitcher, and that's fine. he's a good innings eater, but will never be a K guy.

Jurrjens and Werth weren't enough to get kershaw and rightfully so. If i offered guys that package for pitchers like Wainwright and Haren etc. they would turn it down also and Kershaw just as valuable in a keeper league

Re: Who has the best EOG team?

tripp you gonna start the season 0-1.

do you have good matchups for week 2?
probably will because you've traded for week 1 matchups it looks like getting verly and haren 2 steps, but overall i think i have a much better team and it's a 20+ game season. im very confident about every sides i have except for tn/rj because they have two of the best teams also

1. Explain to me how you have a "MUCH" better team than me?

2. Explain to me how RJ's team is one of the best in the league...while your teamis MUCH better than mine....when Mine and RJ's are very similar:

We both have top flight pitching staffs.
And we both have 3.5 very good bats!

Verlander, Haren, Zambrano, Floyd, Kazmir
Greinke, Sabathia, Gallardo, Sheets, Hudson

Braun, Morneau, V-Mart, Aramis
Ellsbury, Votto, Sizemore, Hamilton

Tripper it aint just his walks... Its his pitch counts. Look at the end of his season. You think he should have been draft Higher than middle of 2nd:LMAO:LMAO:LMAO

Lots of talent but has proven nothing so far. He may be an ace in the future but this year expect 12-10 unfortunately

grienke > verly
cc >> haren
gallardo >>> zambo

then the rest of your staffs will likely be matchups all year. both have top 3 of's in braun and ellsbury, 1b's are similar, sizemore could be a top 5 of, hamilton has top 10 of potential also but huge risk

i think RJ's top 3 is going to be tough all year. glad that staff isn't in my div as it reminds me of your staff from last year.
