Righty catchers don't have an issue picking guys off of 1st.Makes it tough when a guy steals third.
MLB's last left-handed throwing catcher appeared in a game in 1989.

Interesting note: Everyone focuses on the lack of left-handed catchers behind the plate, but did you know not one left-handed player has fielded the shortstop position in the big leagues in more than 100 years.
