Whitey Ford is the answer to many World Series longevity pitching questions.
But this is just longevity for one game.

It cannot be anyone this millennium.
Old time pitchers were rarely relieved.
For some reason, without peeking, Walter Johnson comes to mind.
Second choice Cy Young.

Nope, but it was over 100 years ago.

One of my favorite trivia questions - Babe Ruth.

Yep, Game 2 of the 1916 World Series between Brooklyn and Boston. Ruth gave up an inside the park home run in the 1st inning, drove in the tying run in the 3rd. Boston won 2-1 in the bottom of the 14th. Casey Stengal played for Brooklyn.

This game was also the longest WS game (tied twice for longest) until 2018.
