Thanks for the good wishes Neveragain. I go to a dermatologist every month to have basal cell carcinomas zapped off my face and arms--the result of lots of sun when I was young but also five or more hours in the sun now--every day. And dermatologists will never tell you this but basal cell carcinoma is almost never fatal, but not getting enough sunshine will affect vitamin D levels, weaken the immune system, and cause the mitochondria in all our cells (except red blood cells) to be unable to produce melatonin which is needed to produce ATP. Little known fact is that the pineal gland produces melatonin at night so we can sleep, but our mitochondria also produce melatonin and it is critical to longevity. Bottom line, sunshine is just as important as exercise for living a cancer free, healthy life, Who knew? The New York Times once ran an editorial suggesting New Yorkers stay inside and avoid the sun if they want to be healthy!
