Just listening to the Ron Flatter podcast. One of the guests, Duane Collucci kept going on how the (Churchill) track carried Medina Spirit to victory. He must be on Betamethasone because I watched and bet the entire May 1 Churchill card, and speed was NOT especially good, and the inner paths were definitely not good. Medina Spirit overcame the bias.

It really wasn't. 9 dirt track races on May 1. 3 wire jobs but look who won: Gamine, who was 1-5 and was life and death to win despite being lone speed. Jackie's Warrior, who was favored in the Pat Day Mile, and Medina Spirit. 2 Bafferts and 2 favorites. And the rail was terrible.
