Even though undrafted rookie practice squad WR Kendall Hinton is expected to start at QB today vs. the Saints, the Broncos wanted their starting QB to be Rob Calabrese, their offensive quality control coach for the past two years, per sources.
Don’t they still have Elway?

yesLindsey OVER 43.5 Yards almost seams like stealing.
If Rail would have posted the tape of him and coach Ravdel playing catch at the Gold Coast garage, he may be starting in Denver.
i was feeling good that day, want to say it was 2010. coach rav and i both had footballs in our trunk. If Rail would have posted the tape of him and coach Ravdel playing catch at the Gold Coast garage, he may be starting in Denver.
A lot of people don’t know they have it to spread. You cannot get a test here unless you have 2 symptoms. Also while I'm on my morning after, coming off a loss rant it's a shame we can't authoritatively determine who a breakout originated fron. There are hardly any consequences for people causing this. I just wish we can force people to face consequences of their feels based decision making that is costing lives.
I bet you pussys would think twice.
Walter Payton played qb for the Bears in '84 vs GB.

For old-timers, this year is absolutely nothing compared to 1987.
A player's strike was called after Week 2 of 1987 leading to the NFL playing weeks 4 thru 6 with replacement players. A few regular players like Joe Montana, Tony Dorsett, Steve Largent, and Lawrence Taylor came back after a week or two.
Then Cal Neva Sportsbook Director Chris Andrews tells a great tale about how he had a guy, John Falenski (later was JA Nugget's Sportsbook Director), make new, pretty accurate power ratings for all the replacement rosters. Game lines were all over the map. A wild 3 weeks before the strike was called off.

its the flu with a 99.99% cure rate, better chance of dying in the bus on the way to the game. its a libtard talking point for govt controlThink about how sick in the head everybody is playing still and us betting on it as well. Psychopathic type shit.
redskins went 3-0 with their replacement players, they all received superbowl rings too.For old-timers, this year is absolutely nothing compared to 1987.

That is surprising that ownership gave them rings. That would never have happened in Chicago or Philly. Actually Ditka kind of lost the players during this strike, calling the scabs the real Bears because they were playing.redskins went 3-0 with their replacement players, they all received superbowl rings too.
If the league is letting Tenn and Balt reschedule, they should have let Denver do the same. I get that Denver was negligent, but so was Tenn. The NFL really should take this weekend off and push everything back a week. If they are not letting teams go to their HQ's monday and tuesday, that tells you its bad. Without practicing, its a safety and conditioning issue for the players also. Unless the NFLPA signed off on this, I'm surprised they are allowing it.I remember those games, some bettors made some good scores. Still having a never even practiced in the NFL as a QB going out against a top defense is a whole different situation than a bunch of guys who never got a shot at the NFL going out to pretend to be NFLers. The stats on Hinton were horrific, but for anyone who actually watched the game it was even worse. His one completion was on a screen pass behind the line and even that wasn't a well placed ball but it was caught. The rest of his passes were off by 10 feet or more. I totally agreed with the Broncos, signing a coach to play QB would have been better.
Notice the Bronco QBs were all cleared this morning except for Driskel. So they could have played today. NFL won't ever admit it, but they just saw a chance to "teach a lesson" to a team that in their minds had little impact on the course of the season. If Lock played the result probably still would have been the same, but at least we'd have seen an NFL game instead of that glorified exhibition.
Why should the NFL help losing teams that have lost over a long period of time?
No difference that business. Poor performers are shown the door much more quickly than good performers.
That wouldn't include the Broncos who until 2018 hadn't had back to back losing seasons since 1972. I think the Pats are the only team to have more Superbowl appearances. Easily one of the top 10 most storied franchises in the NFL. Sorry but trying to lump them in with Lions and Browns just proves how low your football acumen is.
My business acumen is better. Three years losing is too long. Three years bad performance is not acceptable. No food for you.
Let me fill you in on something.
How you are performing NOW is all that matters.

Who was the Bears QB during the 1987 strike?
Answer: Sean Payton
