Not that it means anything at this point, but I am ahead of The Bear due to an 11-4 best bet record including 11 of the last 13. I ll probably drop but will just enjoy the moment after a 3-10-1, 6-14 start....and I do play my best bets.

No, you're in a 3-way tie with 61 pts. I don't use BB record as a tiebreaker unless its meaningful for the next week.

ComptrBob

EOG Master
Got it. VSIN uses BBs as the tiebreaker which I why I am listed above him but you have your way. Fair enough

Well, again, no, VSIN doesn't appear to use BB record in their listing.

Three ties are listed in order by BB, but in reverse order in 2 ties. If they use BB win%, Kelly Stewart would be listed above Fezzik in the tie for 14th place and Marc Lawrence (46.5 pts, BB 8-4-0) would be listed above Randy Mckay (46.5 pts, BB 7-5-1), tied for 16th place. Both Fezzik and McKay had far worse ROI's than the tying entrants. Note 4 are ordered alphabetically, but not in one case.

Seems either random order, just inconsistent, or they use # of BB and then BB win% (thereby "penalizing" Stewart and Lawrence). Only VSIN seems to know for sure ... lol.

If you watch the show, you'd know that ties are broken by Best Bet record as it has been repeated often. Though I was not involved, I believe that settled a deadlock last year. Stewart and Lawrence both missed a week, though we will never know how many additional points there would have had. Not about percentage.

Well we aren't discussing what they say on the show. I have heard the "ties are broken by BB" spiel. I have never heard how they measure the BB record.

The website doesn't order records with ties using the BB record as I pointed out above. Again, how do they measure BB record other than #wins or win%?

Either way Stewart and Lawrence have better BB records even missing a week.

How much money you got Bob? I'll give you 5/1 on whatever you want that Best Bet record breaks ties. How about this? Those people are out of the money and eliminated so whoever posted it doesn't give a shit. Let me know how much you want to risk. Make it 7/1

Deflecting? All I know is I tried to correct you because you did not recognize that my BB record was better than that of the Bear thus that it why I was listed in front of him as that is their way of breaking ties. You apparently don't accept my explanation and want to get into irrelevant technicalities. Have no time. If you want the bet let me know.

Ok, I understand you can't even answer what the measure of the BB is.

No problem. Why would I bet you if you can't even define what a superior "BB record" is. You're a moron.

Kind of reminiscent of how broken the original Stardust Invitational was. It used the winning percentage ignoring ties to determine winners, The BB for the week was the tiebreaker.

Of course, it never happened (& occur very rarely), but a 3-0-4 record would beat a 6-1-0 record.

You don't want to put your ego aside. You have to be right and justify putting the Bear front of me despite their listing me above him. Moron? Do you fucken not understand that 11-4 is better than 8-6-1 and according to their rules Best Bets break ties. I am not here to get into minutia. If you have nothing else to do feel free to contact VSIN. My offer stands 7/1 for whatever you wish. Fucken idiot

Contest plays

- Seven plays, college and NFL full-game sides and totals (no props, team totals or first-half plays) with one designated as the Best Bet (BB). Contestants are limited to four college football totals per week.

- Plays will be graded as one point for a win - a Best Bet winner is worth 1.5 points - and a half-point for a push. If a game is canceled or postponed, it's graded to be worth a half-point; a postponed game must be played by the following Thursday or is graded to be worth a half-point.

- The Best Bet (BB) point total will be used as a tiebreaker if needed.

- Use the Circa Sports lines posted at Noon PT Fridays. All contestants are using the same lines. Any contestant failing to designate a Best Bet will get a zero for the Best Bet record that week.

- Seven plays must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. PT each Friday; any contestant who misses the deadline gets zero points for the week.

This says nothing about listing order. This whole discussion is strictly about listing order, are you too stupid to understand that?

As I continue to point out, clearly VSIN does list according to the BB win total.

Stewart 8-5-0 has a better BB point total than Fezzik 7-7-0.
Lawrence 8-4-0 has a better BB point total than McKay 7-5-1.

"Those people are out of the money and eliminated so whoever posted it doesn't give a shit. Let me know how much you want to risk. Make it 7/1'. This was written to you way before. Ego is a big problem in life for some as they continue to try to be right, even though in this case the original post concerned only your putting me out of position, while I have posted a copy of their rules. So what is correct....their own rules or what some person put up there for 2 people not caring because at this point they irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. Ego....let it go bro.

ComptrBob

The contest ends when you are eliminated or on the final week. The only tiebreaks that matter now are with people who are out of the money. So apparently VSIN screws up the only ones that currently matter.
