Just breaking...NCAA tournament games, men and women will be closed to public spectators.

Now that just leaves the less prestigious NIT, which hopefully they'll let crowds watch since nobody really plays or cares as hard as the dance anyway.

Hope the media is happy with the hysteria they've caused. That's a lot of people that won't get to go to work over the next couple weeks - ticket collectors, popcorn vendors, security detail. That's a lot of revenue Atlanta was counting on that they'll never get, not to mention the early round host cities.

No fans at the Columbus Blue Jackets home games for the rest of the season.

The NCAA wrestling finals will have no fans either, they were expected to break the attendance record by hosting it at the Dome in Minn.

Stupidest thing I’ve seen in my lifetime. The overreaction to this is disgusting. High school level here in Ohio a small community has a boys basketball team in the sweet 16 for the first time. Immediate family only. . Whole town told go fuck yourself.

Absolute Complete Over Reaction. Many people with colds, slight case of flu go about their daily business everyday. People who are extremely frail or sick don't go to sporting events anyway. Americans love the NCAA tournament. Don't fuck it up.
It's still on TV. I have seen plenty of NCAA tourney games where when one gets a glimpse of the crowd, there's plenty of empty seats. But have to think it benefits the under, maybe a little bit.

But let's not confuse this virus, 80% genetically similar to SARS, with a common cold. That's pretty ridiculous. A wave of colds or flu epidemic never trashed the market for 20% in 3 weeks. The market collectively knows more than any of us individually.

Seriously they need to either let in fans or postpone events. If I am MLB I don't start the season until I get a sense of all clear.

Not to mention I don't get the stuff going on in California. Why is it only 1,000 people or more are banned? Going to a movie isn't as dangerous as a sporting event? Churches are fine, hockey is not? I don't get it. Either you shut everything down for a few weeks and figure out who has it, or you let life go on and recognize the virus will eventually get to a lot of people no matter what you do.

Giants/A's exhibition game at Oracle Park just before start of season will be cancelled due to crowd limitation by city of SF. The two week limit for crowds could be expanded, and if it does, regular season games would be effected.

Don't know what Seattle's plan will be. That area has been hit as hard as anywhere in US.

I just watched their news and they have March home games, sounds like those will be played with no fans.

BULLSHIT. No fans. No support. Takes away everything. This has gone too far.
