Waiting to see how games finish Thursday before submitting a pick.
I do have some PL thoughts:
Friday:
(11:30A PDT) Tottenham TT Un 0.5 +150ish AND (12:15P PDT) Man U TT Un0.5 +145: Both teams are having a truly miserable PL season this year. Both are assured on PL safety, but Tottenham currently sits in 17th place with 38 points while Man U is one point and spot better. Their seasons have been utter failures. WITH! ONE! EXCEPTION! Both sides have made the Europa League Final. That game is being played this coming Wednesday. The winner GETS A CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SPOT! For the winner, all of the money & prestige that goes with it will make this season a roaring success. The loser's season will be a failure.
For both sides, they have played a lot of games recently. Both had games: April 27, May 1, May 4, May 8, May 11 and now this game on May 16. After Friday's game, they have the EL Final in Bilbao Spain (A 2-hour flight for both sides). Seeing the list of games both teams have played int he past few weeks, and knowing how important Wednesday is, I see both sides sitting BIG names so they are as rested as can be for Wednesday's season-making game.
Tottenham is at Aston Villa while Man U is at Chelsea. Both home sides are in a brutal fight for a Top 5 spot and a spot in next season's Champions League. Spurs have had no issues scoring this season, putting 63 in the net which is tied with Brentford for the 5th most goals scored this season and tied for the top spot among teams outside the top 4. Asking a side to keep Spurs out of the net is a tall task, but not as impossible as it may sound. Sours have been shutout in in 9 of 26 games or 25%. So, it is doable. As for Man U, they are tied with West Ham for the second-lowest scoring team in the league, with 42, while Chelsea is tied with Man City for the 2nd fewest goals allowed in the league at 43.
Knowing what is at stake for both sides on Wednesday and knowing what a massive amount of games they have had in a very short period of time, I see a game where both visitors just want the game to be over, so they can move on to Wednesday - against opponents who will treat this game as important as both Spurs and Man U will on Wednesday, knowing how important 3 point is for both sides.
I feel fairly confident between Tottenham and Man U we see at least 1 side fail to score and 1-1 here would generate a nice profit. Won't shock me to see both fail to score. I did not play Villa and Chelsea to "Win to Nil" because it only paid about 25-cents more and I am OK giving up that amount on the off chance that neither Villa or Chelsea score.
(Sun at 4A PDT) Everton/Southampton Ov2.5 -120ish (Full disclosure - I bet this at Ov2.75 -101 earlier in the week): This is Everton's last-ever home game at Goodison Park - their home for over 100 years. I am sure they will want to put on a show in this last game - a game that will be filled with emotions and memories. Who better to face than the PL's worst defending team in Southampton. The Saints have seen 82 goals go marching into their net. It might have been more had they not collected every single "bus" in England and "parked it" in front of their net in a 0-0 draw with Man City. Southampton did that because they wanted to get their 12th point so they would no longer be tied with Derby County for the worst-ever PL season of 11 points. I think we get at least 2 goals from Everton and maybe 3 even though Everton is the lowest-scoring non-relegated side in the league. I think Southampton will also score a goal. I think we easily see 3 goals in this game and probably more.
(Sun at 7A PDT) Leicester/Ipswich Ov2.75 -104 (Or Ov3 +125ish for those who cannot play 2.75): Leicester has conceded 78 goals this season in 36 games. Ipswich has given up 77. As stated above - only Southampton has given up more. Both teams score less than 1 goal per game. So, why take OVER? Let me repeat the numbers 78 and 77. Both teams have been relegated. This is Leicester's last PL home game of the season (And might very well be their last PL home game for a few seasons after this one). I think we see both teams say "F*ck it" and play a wide-open game. Why not - not like it will cost them relegation! This is also the last home game for Leicester legend Jamie Vardy. He is leaving Leicester after 13 seasons with the club. Whatever you can get on him scoring a goal - take it (Should be able to get at least +140 - maybe higher). Leicester is gonna feed him the ball to get him a goal in his last home game. I don't see how there are less than 3 goals in this game and if we get something like a 3-2 score it won't shock me at all.
