I wouldn't be shocked if he did. It's something he wants to do and I don't think he'd have to sacrifice much PPG to do it either. I think he can do 25/10/10.
You're absolutely nuts. So he'd need to sacrifice 3 PPG to get 3 more assists and 3 more rebounds?
No chance. He will never, ever, average a triple double; IMO.
I think that was probably the greatest playoff performance ever. There have been many memorable performances, but I have never seen a single player dominate in that fashion. Reggie Miller had that amazing few seconds. James' supporting cast that year was not a very good one.
At the age of 24, he's far better than Jordan was at this stage of his career.
In the Eastern Conference Finals, James led the Cavaliers from an 0?2 deficit against the Detroit Pistons to win the series in six games. His performance in Game 5 was especially memorable. James recorded a franchise-record 48 points on 54.5% field goal shooting, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. In addition, James scored 29 of Cleveland's last 30 points, including the team's final 25 points in a double-overtime victory.[29] NBA analyst Marv Albert referred to James's performance as "one of the greatest moments in postseason history," while color commentator Steve Kerr called it "Jordan-esque.
U cant be much older then 20.

what would you say? Jordan's 'flu game'?
Jordan, Magic, and Bird all had a huge supporting cast.
I'm not a Lebron fan. I'm not a sports fan.
He was scoring 63, COUNT THEM, 63 points against the Celtics; who were arguably one of the greatest teams of all-time. I hope you're kidding me.

Michael Jordan scored 63 points, at the age of 24, against one of the greatest teams of all-time in their arena.
You have to be kidding me with that comment. Name 1 other game in the playoffs that Lebron has really stepped up. Don't worry, I'll wait.

Those were Jordan's teammates in 1986. John Paxson was the third leading scorer on the team behind Oakley. :doh1
He had one of the worst teams in the league, if not the worst, and he led them to the playoffs and put 63 on the Celtics when they were game planning for him strictly. Larry Bird called him god, for gods sake.

Christ, i saw a game this weekend by Ray Allen that was better then that game. Allen was hitting shots and buzzer beaters with guys hanging all over him. The Lebron game he shot one shot that whole game with a guy guarding him up close. The revolving door the Pistons played that night to let him dunk all game long was pathetic. The Piston laid down like Pigs that game and go watch the game again if u don't believe me. heck even when the series was done Rasheed came out and said that series was a joke of a series and the NBA is getting like the WWE. Billups turned the ball over that series at an alarming rate and missed shots at crucial times all game long so the King could advance. The same shit he did the year Wade advanced.
Leading a team to the playoffs???? WTF? Anyone can make the playoffs in the NBA. You don't get it. Spend your time paying off your debt.
Timely u ever hear anyone ever call Jordan overrated like Stevenson called Lebron? How about Jordan isn't really that hard to guard like Artest said about Lebron? This is like arguing that same nonsense with some of these clowns who think Sidney Crosby is the best player in the NHL. Thankfully Oveckin hopefully shut that nonsense up but i doubt it if Pitt wins that series. We are debating Lebron against Jordan when he isnt even as good as Kobe:+clueless
Did I say Jordan was overrated? NO!
Did I say Lebron was better than Jordan? NO!
Am I saying that Lebron will be better than Jordan at the conclusion of his career? YES! I think he just might get 5 and maybe 6. Yeah, disprove that. You can't. Without Lebron the Cavs wouldn't have made the playoffs. So what?
Kobe is not even close, he doesn't make his team better.
[/b]
THIS IS SO WRONG and dumb I don't know why people think it. The Cavs have been one of the best defensive teams in basketball despite Lebron's defensive weaknesses in the past; he's a solid defender now.
They won 66 games. They had to win 41 to make the playoffs. Lebron James is NOT worth 25 games. NO PLAYER in the HISTORY of the NBA has been worth that.
The NBA and ESPN are like Fox News and the Republican party. each has an agenda for the weak minded.
How did Dwayne Wade and Kobe work there way into this debate? Wade for sure is not even close to James (not even a LITTLE close) and so far the only people I've met thinking otherwise are either huge Wade fans or LeBron James haters. Kobe Braynt is a amazingly skilled, but you can make a very easy argument that James is better than him right now, so when comparing them each when they were 24 is no debate, James by a mile.
I am not ready to put James in the Jordan class. Jordan was a special player and a the type of player that might never come around again. James is the first guy I've seen when I thought he could not only reach that class, but surpass Michael. LeBron james is so physically gifted which gives him the edge over any other guy listed in this thread. James has made it a goal of his to avg a triple double, and from seeing this guy operate I would not want to bet against this guy doing just that.
