2 more wins (and it will happen in the next 2 games) and we FINALLY catch those @#%#%#^ Celtics for most titles won.

No you don't Winky, the LA Lakers have 11 championships, the 5 that were won in Minneapolis don't count. The Lakers franchise has 16, but the Los Angeles Lakers only have 11, all 17 of the Celtics championships have been won in Boston

As you said the FRANCHISE has 16. The NBA recognizes 16. There are 11 banners at Staples and 1 with 5 for the Minny teams. Lakers have 16. Period

I agree, the Lakers have 16, but the Los Angeles Lakers have 11, and the Boston Celtics have 17

Do you actually think that the TV ratings are a referendum on LBJ being the GOAT? I don't get. There is zero correlation between the two.

We know why people aren't watching, CB basically summed it up and LBJ is the head of the spear. I didn't say he is the GOAT Politician or GOAT social reformer, I frankly find most of his views, what I know of them, as ignorant and uneducated but he'll still kick anyone's ass on the court.

NBA will be fine, their next TV contract will dwarf the current one, like it or not times are a changing. They will lose some of us old crusty gamblers but will more than make up for it with the younger fantasy/live betting crowd.

You're likely correct. However, high ticket cost and low TV interest will not escape them. Fantasy folks already don't see need to watch.

I did watch lots of the Heat/Celtics series, some excellent basketball. But honestly I can't stand the the messaging, especially the goofball sayings on the back of the uniforms.

Probably its just me, but in part I watch sports to avoid politics.

Nothing worse than looking on the back of a WNBA jersey and seeing the name "Breonna Taylor."

It was really confusing when I looked at a Phoenix Mercury jersey and saw the name "Brianna Turner."

I’m for free speech as much as the next guy, but I don’t like walking and talking billboards on an NBA court....would love to see just numbers and names....
