Let's see, for years the anti-Mahomes argument was he had Tyreek Hill and Kelce. Hill, the most explosive WR in the league, and Kelce, a first ballot Hall of Famer. But I don't hear those people crediting Mahomes for the poor receiving group he has to deal with now. Sure, Kelce has had a great career but he's 34 and not the same player he was at his peak. How many teams would you take KC's receiving group over? I'd say New England, the Giants, the Jets, Arizona, Tennessee and Carolina. The Bears? Maybe as a group but D.J. Moore better than anyone KC can throw to. I'd take Kelce over Kmet but the gap is less than the gap Moore has over any KC WR. With all the cap room and draft choices, I would expect the Bears receiving group to blow past KC next season. Cleveland? I'd take Cooper and Njoku over Rice and Kelce. Atlanta? Like some of these other teams mentioned, the production has been largely due to poor QB play. Put Mahomes on Atlanta and those young receivers would put up numbers. And even with poor QB play, I'd take the Steelers receivers over KC as well.
