Who will run the NHL contest this year?
So I parlayed ( 7 teams ) all the home teams in the evening preseason games Sat night.
Pittsburgh of all teams took a vacation and was the lone loser.
Sunday I will take all the homers again.

By the closing Pinnacle lines at SBR the biggest dog yesterday was a 3-2 winner with the Kings +178 @ Sin City. The biggest dog of the day record went to 5-6 L11 & 2-5 L7 & 2-1 L3. So far today it is Chicago +235 at Boston in the early game that qualifies as the largest dog of the day. Chicago is an over team while Boston is an under team & the total is set at 6.
Yesterday the dogs had an even better day than on Thursday, winning 4 of 5 games SU. The road teams also were 4-1. The LAK continued to produce unders as the total of 3-2 went under 6. First period under 1.5's continued their good run, going 3-2 after being 5-2, 4-5 & 4-1-1 the previous 3 days. Those unders have generally been priced as underdogs.
By the closing Pinnacle lines at SBR the biggest dog yesterday was a 2-8 loser with Chicago +215 @ Boston. The biggest dog of the day record went to 5-7 L12 & 2-6 L8 & 2-2 L4. So far today it is the Sharks +111 at Sin City in the late game that qualifies as the largest dog of the day. SBR is saying that the Blues-Blue Jackets game is "postponed".
Yesterday the dogs run had an end with the favs going 7-2 SU. The home teams also were 7-2. First period under 1.5's continued their hot run, going 7-2 after going 3-2, 5-2, 4-5 & 4-1-1 the previous 4 days. Those unders have generally been priced as underdogs.

The preseason games between NHL clubs are now over & the regular season starts on Winsday, Oct.2. The biggest dog for that day is presently the Sens +238 @ the Laffs. (The Laffs recently lost both games of a home & home preseason series on consecutive days to this same Ottawa team.) BTW, none of the other 3 dogs in the other 3 games is anywhere near +238.

First period under 1.5's cooled off a bit from their scorching hot run, going 1-2 after going 7-2, 3-2, 5-2, 4-5 & 4-1-1 (23-12) the previous 5 days. Those unders have generally been priced as underdogs.
By the closing Pinnacle lines at SBR the biggest dog yesterday was, as expected, a loser with the Sens price ballooning to +272 @ "Queen City". The Laffs were down 0-1 after 20 minutes but had the last laugh as they prevailed 5-3. The biggest dog of the day record went to 5-9 L14 & 2-8 L10 & 2-4 L5 & 0-1 for the regular season.
Presently Buffalo +162 (@ Crosby & Co) is leading the pack of dogs today as the biggest dog, but it's a tight race with Florida +158 at TB & the Wild +155 visiting " Cashville".

What a comeback by the Jets, down 4 goals at one point & by 3 entering the 3P, to tie it by the end of regulation & then win!

Presently CBJ +134 hosting the Laffs is leading the pack of dogs today as the biggest dog, but it's a tight race with the Jets +126 at the Devils not far behind.
Yesterday the dogs had a third bad day in a row, losing 6 of 8 games SU (don't underdogs usually do well to start the season?). The away teams also went 2-6 & continued their bad run.
On Thursday 1P unders (1.5 goals) continued their scorching hot run by going 5-3. In the previous 7 days to that, including the preseason, they were 2-2, 1-2, 7-2, 3-2, 5-2, 4-5 & 4-1-1 (26-16 u/o). Including Thursday the record is 31-19 u/o. After two days of the regular season it is 7-5 u/o. Those unders have generally been priced as underdogs.
Will the overs cash on Friday? Where is the value, if any?
Boston on the road especially when they do their west coast trips has been a good under play for me.

By the closing Pinnacle lines at SBR the biggest dog on Friday was a 1-4 loser with the CBJ +137 hosting the Laffs. The biggest dog of the day record went to 6-10 L16 & 3-9 L12 & 3-5 L8 & 1-2 for the regular season.
On Friday the dogs had their fourth bad day in a row, losing 3 of 5 games SU (don't underdogs usually do well to start the season?). Home teams went a miserable 1-4.
On Saturday the 1P unders (1.5 goals) went 7-8 for a positive return since most of those 7 were at plus money, including a +148 with Flor/TB under 1.5. In the past 10 days under 1.5's have been very profitable with a record of 40-31. Those unders have generally been priced as underdogs.
In the last 10 days under 1.5 were 7-8, 2-3, 5-3, 2-2, 1-2, 7-2, 3-2, 5-2, 4-5 & 4-2.
By the closing Pinnacle lines at SBR the biggest dog on Saturday was a 5-3 winner with the Dead Things +224 @ Cashville. The biggest dog of the day record went to 7-10 L17 & 4-9 L13 & 4-5 L9 & 2-2 for the regular season.
On Saturday the dogs had their fifth bad day in a row, losing 9 of 13 games SU (don't underdogs usually do well to start the season?). Home teams rebounded from a 1-4 day on Friday to go 8-5.
Today SBR is showing 2 games.
St.Louis @ Toronto. They were 52.4% & 50% to the over 1.5 last year. So far this year they are 2-1 & 1-2 o/u. The line is -124/+111 o/u 1.5.
Buffalo @ CBJ. They were 47.6% & 64.6% to the over last year. This year they are 1-1 & 0-2. The line is at -123/+109 o/u 1/5.

By the closing Pinnacle lines at SBR the biggest dog on Sunday was a 4-3 winner with the Dead Things +146 vs the Stars. The biggest dog of the day won for the second day in a row & both times it was Detroit. The biggest dog of the day record went to 8-10 L18 & 5-9 L14 & 5-5 L10 & 3-2 for the regular season. For today's short card, with only 2 games listed at SBR, it is presently the Blues +118 @ the Laffs who are the biggest dog of the day. Buffalo is +105 @ CBJ.
On Sunday the dogs finally got a winning day after 5 losing days in a row. They won 2 of 3 games SU, both being home dogs. Home teams went 3-0, sweeping the board, to have a second profitable day in a row.
