First 10* of the bowl season was a winner with Southern Miss, and here is my second. We've heard and seen a lot about UCF RB Kevin Smith, but it will be interesting to see if he's actually better than MSU's Anthony Dixon, 6-2, 240, 4.5, a soph who will only get better. Even though most Florida teams have talent and speed to burn, I think the Bulldogs have equal talent and have played a much more demanding schedule. Gimme a C-USA team favored over an SEC team, and I'll take the SEC dog almost every time. MSU will be playing for respect in this game, and I think they'll earn some.

Heard a stat on the radio last night--SEC Bowl Dogs are 45-30-- Good Luck--Always with the SEC as a Dog:cheers

I managed to avoid this game til this point, but suddenly I feel to invest in the Nittany Lions.

Watching the Mississippi St game, I don't think UCF is used to seeing a defense this quick, certainly not week in and week out.

I like the SEC in this matchup against the Big 12. Those who have followed me all season know I am hitting about 65% on 10* plays this year, with one pending on Mississippi St. Although I like this game a lot, be sure you buy the hook. Don't ever risk losing a game by a half point. It's well worth putting up the -120 on these prime numbers.

Great job on Mississippi State Reb. Reb - if it were you, would you lay -130 for the half point in a situation like Bama or is that a situation where you would just suck it up and go with 3.5?

I would lay the -130. You know how many games are won or lost by 3.

nice name. Karma is real whether we believe in it or not.

FrankieGotti, don't know what to say about the bookie. I get my money from Olympic and BetJamaica, and I've found them easier to deal with than bookies.

So-so bowl season so far: 5-5 (+5.1*)

10* bowls: 2-0

Far cry from my 18-4 start in bowls two years ago. hopefully we'll pick it up.

10* Bama -3 tonight.

For those who can't get Bama -3, I'd play it for 7* over 3 points.

I love this logic. The reason Vegas and Bookies and Offshores make so much damm money is EVERYONE bets the easy obvious plays... and last I checked.. everyone is always paying their bookies...sportsbooks.

Reb, just wanted to say thank you and wish you a happy and prosperous new year. I seldom post but often follow your picks. Have spent last 5 years picking on my own and losing. This entire "hobby" is much more fun when collecting from the man on a regular basis. Again, thanks and Happy New Year!:cheers
