The EOG Octagon is a head-to-head handicapping showdown featuring a winner-take-all purse of 2,500 bananas.

Each contestant provides 1,000 bananas to the prize pot with EOG supplying the added money.

The format is flexible.

This month, the participants have agreed to 40 plays over 30 days with the handicapping earning the most units being declared the winner.

All plays must land in the range of -200 to +200.

Contestants must select full-game sides or totals, first-half sides or totals, halftime sides or totals or RHE props.

Contestants are allowed only one wager per event.

Contestants will post selections using prices and pointspreads from the following establishments: CRIS, Pinnacle, BetDSI, Westgate and William Hill.

Once a contestant posts a selection, neither the contestant nor the opponent can submit a play in the same game.

To make an official selection, each contestant must submit the following four pieces of information in the post: Betting number, team name, price/pointspread and available sports book.

The handicapper with the most units at the end of the month will be declared the winner.

At month's end, the winner stays on the court for the following month and the loser goes home, except for our initial showdown which will feature a Best-of-3 format.

I'll try to recruit ABUNDY, EJD_5277, HEIM, KANE, NUT6, PINNACLE420, SCOOPER, SVBETTOR, TOBY TYLER, VIEJO DINOSAUR and others for this space in 2019.

I spoke with ComptrBob last night and he suggested a range of -200 to +200 on all plays.

I agreed.

I asked if he would keep score of the event.

He agreed.

I spoke with "Z" last week.

He's a good guy and a smart guy.

An advantage gambler yet also a gentlemen's gambler.

Hard to find both qualities in the same person.

Same question for road man
Maybe the contestants could answer this question precontest and tell us a little of their background

I live in Southern Nevada. I live and breath gambling. I look for exploitable casino promotions, play video poker (that pays out over 100 percent), play poker fairly well, count cards at blackjack, hustle slots, and I also bet sports. Gambling is only job I've had for some time.
My favorite tv show is Downton Abbey, and I have the world's cutest dog.

Found a youtube video you might like. SB Nation is one of my favorite channels.
One of the most emotional moments I've ever witnessed in sports, I don't think there was a dry eye in the stadium as Gordon rounded the bases. Gordon said after the game the home run was the longest ball he's ever hit in his life at any level

Jkelly,
What is your best/worse case senario this month?
Nice job last 2
Mlb Is much harder
Thanks for the interest, SHOTCALL0.

MLB should be easier with attractive -105/-105 pricing.

I enjoy the daily handicapping situations that arrive in baseball and basketball as opposed to the weekly action of football.

My favorite television show: The episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm in the mid-aughts.

Good luck to both men. I look forward to a worthy opponent in May regardless of who wins here.

And for continuity’s sake, I’m 100% good with this format for next month as well.
