I remember playing in vegas with an old Dealer that hand dealt, held the cards up by his chin, as he brought his hole card down i could see it almost every time. I lost my ass, I knew with a face up he had a 5 or 6 under so I would stand on my 14 or 15 - sure enough the next card was a 4 or 5 that would have made my hand. I'd lose most hands. The worst part was the other players moaning and groaning at my poor play, almost slapping the table in disgust, then the dealer would shake his head as well like I'm an idiot. I also hit my 17 a few times knowing he had me beat - which brought more groans.

The lesson is even if you have a huge advantage you can still lose...quite easily actually.

A truly strange story
Not sure if I believe it
Not sure I can but
I am going to try to find out more

Hilarious anyone would allow themselves to lose that much in a CR casino. Everyone knows they are crooked and exist mostly as fronts to get foreigners in who also want to bang hookers. The comment about no gaming commission should tell you everything you need to know. Even the online casinos are crooked. They approve fraudulent software all the time and the live casinos are quite novel in how they take your money too. Can't tell all on this but I got it from a supreme source what they are doing and their attitude is basically everyone doesn't expect to win anyways so we don't need a good game that will just attract angle shooters or those taking a shot at us.

ok... but how are the hookers?

Where are you headed when the world re-opens?
This could be a game changer re reopenings happening sooner rather than later:

"Fully Vaccinated Americans Can Travel With Low Risk, C.D.C. Says

They should still wear masks but no quarantines are necessary, the agency said in new guidance that cited growing data about the effectiveness of the shots.

Americans who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 can safely travel at home and abroad, as long as they take basic precautions like wearing masks, federal health officials announced on Friday, a long-awaited change from the dire government warnings that have kept many millions home for the past year.

In announcing the change at a White House news conference, officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stressed that they preferred that people avoid travel. But they said growing evidence of the real-world effectiveness of the vaccines — which have been given to more than 100 million Americans — suggested that inoculated people could do so “at low risk to themselves.”

The shift in the C.D.C.’s official stance comes at a moment of both hope and peril in the pandemic. The pace of vaccinations has been rapidly accelerating across the country, and the number of deaths has been declining.

Yet cases are increasing significantly in many states as new variants of the coronavirus spread through the country. Just last Monday, Dr. Rochelle P. Walensky, the C.D.C. director, warned of a potential fourth wave if states and cities continued to loosen public health restrictions, telling reporters that she had feelings of “impending doom.” "

Do you really think real people take guidance from the CDC, travel numbers yesterday were 1.5 million people, normal would be maybe 2.4 million, what's holding it back is not silly CDC nonsense but zero international travel and many destinations still restricted.

Yes, absolutely. Other nations pay attention to leading & highly respected American institutions such as the CDC.

Again those other (non USA) "many destinations" pay attention to leading & highly respected USA/American institutions such as the CDC. So this statement by the CDC could be a game changer: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/02/health/cdc-travel-vaccinations.html

Foreigners aren't coming because they're not allowed, either by us or their home countries, zero canadians, almsot zero europeans, zero brazilians, zero japs, etc., not many hawians either(yes I know they're americans).

As far as americans go the numbers who will now say "gee i guess i can fly" are miniscule - maybe 1-2% tops. With zero NY, DC, other NE tourism, and very, little CA tourism, what's happening is a true boom in activity to the open free states. My brother went to nebraska this week to look at sandhill cranes and was told by the locals they've never seen it this busy at this time of year.

I've heard APs say they pass up a few opportunities like hitting hard 17s when hole carding, as it is too much of a red flag.

The funny thing about most morons at the tables who criticize playing decisions, is that very few really know basic strategy. I know, I've dealt and seen it first hand.

Yes, well, duh. Again if other nations follow the lead of the highly respected CDC, it will obviously be a game changer. International travel could be booming in weeks.

I wanted to hit 18 and 19 too, just couldn't do it, the worst is drawing to 19 and knowing you're beat, at the time I didn't care too much about heat as it was a once a yr trip and it was in a place I rarely played. I was so disgusted I was losing despite that advantage i had to leave.

Anyone who wagers with an offshore casino or sports book has a death wish...you really have near zero chance to win...seen it first hand...

That flight looks absolutely miserable. I'll be damned if I'm sitting on a flight for 2-3 hours wearing a mask like that.

Then take a trip to the loo. Nobody will care, or know, if you take your mask off then.

Imagine a 14 hour flight that i'm planning on. Will people be required to wear masks in business or first class, or while they're eating.

How are the NHL & other sports teams constantly travelling by air doing it.

Many employed people are wearing masks all day long.

They look like they're sleeping, or meditating, or getting ready for take off. Talking & idle chit chat increases risk of infection.

I'm flying to vegas next month, i'll have my useless mask on as loosely as possible and it'll accidentally slip below my nose frequently. I'll also eat my peanuts and drink my beverage at a senior citizen like clip.

Or thinking how they can ditch that mask.

If you have to take precautions to fly to a vacation spot and take precautions also, why bother?
The point is you cant let them win, they want you to hide in your basement. i wear a mask where I'm forced to - like the dr, dentist or haircut, and I'll be forced to on the plane(but they're not always looking), but once you get where you're going you dont wear them at all. A couple casinos around here have even dropped their mask requirements.

Lol lol lol. You are delusional about Sweden or just in severe denial. Let's compare it to a similar population area; Michgan.

Both Sweden and Michigan right at about 10 million residents.

Sweden 13,267 Covid deaths using the non lockdown approach
Michigan 16,848 Covid deaths under lockdown queen Bitch Witmer.

The jokes on you; not the right wingers.
Michigan has a Republicon controled legislation that has been killing the state, passing anti mask mandate law, stripping the governor of her powers and other right wing selfish idiotic policy. This legislation has absolutely hurt Michigan. And it's all being passed for political reasons not for the health and welfare of the state. A horrible way to govern.

Complaints about masks are getting old. Yeah we'd all love to not have one on, but it is what it is. I have been on many flights in the past year and I think once the mask was bothering me just a bit because I had some allergies. Otherwise I think a lot of it is in your head. If you think you'll be uncomfortable, you will. If you think you will be scared, you will. Just self fulfilling. And yeah if you know this is you then best to stay off planes. Flight attendants spend more time politely asking people to put masks on than serving drinks so you'll have to wear it.

Indiana has it right, Illinois is even run better than Michigan

And a great example is seeing young kids of all ages wearing masks. I never see any of them complaining. Yes kids are suffering from missing out on in school learning and social experiences but I believe them having to wear mask is a good educational experience as small as it may be.

So why are their numbers the highest now? Because they don’t care.

Don't really understand your question? Be more specific. Whose #'s are the highest now?
The biggest jump in cases are 21 and under here. The HS sports have been a mess, especially wrestling. The HS kids are still doing their thing maskless. To be fair, we probably all would.

Let's face it the powers that be still need something to talk about. We will all be ignoring them in September and they will have some one go and say another wave is possible because the number isn't zero and everyone didn't get their jabs in. Meanwhile let's remember what happens when kids get it, you can always find a sad story or two to share but in the bigger picture if the young get Covid nothing generally happens to them. Yeah one death is a tragedy to someone, but we take risks in life every day.

Precautions? Like what? I always take precautions, such as having a money belt to keep certain valuables safe.

Some people are highly motivated to travel, for their work, or pleasure, to see family, escape the law, mule drugs, etc.

Like wear masks everywhere. Flying for work is different.
