Reese does have alot of hustle in her. I won't argue that.
But she does get alot of boards on her own misses.
Today cardosa was following Jones around who shoots alot of 3s.
Pulled her out of the prime rebounding area.
Taurasi would have to die for her to give up her chances at a 6th gold medal
She is on pace to break the all time assists in a season record.

Clark's assists are up to 11.8 in July.
If she continues at this pace she will shatter the record.
Her assists to turnover numbers continue to increase
Plus they are in range for the 6th seed overtaking Phoenix.

Two things to keep in mind:
1. The WNBA regular season is significantly longer (40 games) than before (2022 had 36 games, 2019 and before 34 games).
2. Clark averages 7.8 assists this year compared to Alyssa Thomas at 7.7 this year. Her season pace does not break the record, she has to maintain a higher average going forward to break the record and hope that Thomas doesn't increase more than her.
Thomas broke the record in 2023.
I was doing some projecting on clark averaging a much higher rate for the last 15 games compared to her season long average which includes all the games played when her teammates were not physically able to catch a cold.

Yeah, so what? She's essentially eclipsing the previous year.
My point is that setting any WNBA season record (for an absolute number) has been much easier the last 2 years.

With 15 games to go at her current pace she does shatter the record.

Wish she would cut down on the turnovers, so costly, especially when they come late.

Horrible turnover late when she tried dribbling in between 3 people
He handles are way below average
Plus she has a tendency of putting teammates in bad spots by passing them the ball late into the shot clock whe she should attack and create her own shot

It's interesting, every highlight I have seen wherein Caitlin is manhandled, elbowed or pushed is by a black WNBA player. Sure there are instances with white girls that are too aggressive but nothing intentional going out of their way to hurt.
Her teammates need to come to her defense but I see most just observing which tells me they are luke warm about her too.
Paige Bueckers was supposed to be the next big thing however WNBA subscriptions down this year and hardly hear anything about her games.
If you saw Griner yelling on the bench calling Clark a white bitch it's evident the racial divide in WNBA will never end.

I know you follow the WNBA closely. In your opinion, what 5 players have the biggest pointspread impact?
In no particular order but here is the 5 players, imo, who have the biggest impact to their team.
1. Caitlin Clark
2. Aja Wilson(she opens the entire floor up for the Perimeter shooters)
3. N Collier (#1 best overall player right now)
4. Breanna Stewart (less of an impact if Jones is in and now with cloud)
5. Don't laugh but her impact for the liberty on both sides of the floor is Natasha Cloud.

Lexie Hull has the best on/off numbers on the fever because she plays defense and is great at moving without the ball which leads to back door lay-ups and easy jumpers because of clark.
While I'm disappointed in her offensive output for the fever I think she was brought in to add an edge and a defensive toughness to the team.
Playing on all those great defensive Suns teams over the years has to give Bonner a voice in huddles when they aren't getting stops or aren't playing to a standard she is used to seeing.
Bonner is not someone I would want to meet Ina dark alley alone.
Chicago now with 2 wins after starting 0-4. Wonder if it was conditioning….Bueckers out tonight didn’t hurt.
