Arnold Snyder was a long time publisher (Blackjack Forum), author, and prominent member of the blackjack AP community.
I had lunch with him once, nice guy.
In the days before the Internet, there was not much valid AP information anywhere. The quarterly Blackjack Forum was my favorite source of AP info for many years.
Not sure cause of death.
Apparently he had been in the hospital for a while, maybe pneumonia.

He was big in the blackjack community. I know I had one of the books he wrote.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was lung related. Hang out for years in those smoky casinos....not good for the lungs.

Ted Kaczynski, the man known as the "Unabomber," was found dead in his North Carolina prison cell on Saturday, a Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson told The Associated Press.

Kaczynski was convicted for a series of bombings targeting scientists across the U.S. and was serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

June 08, 2023 07:59 R.I.P.: Arnold Snyder: It's been a couple of very sad days around the office since hearing that our colleague, author, frequent contributor, and old friend Arnold Snyder passed away Tuesday morning at age 75 after a months-long battle with an acute infection. We'll shortly be posting a tribute to the charter member of the Blackjack Hall of Fame, author of multiple books on blackjack, and publisher of the long-running Blackjack Forum, the quarterly trade journal for professional gamblers. But for now, we just wanted to impart the news of the loss of one of the most vital voices in the all-time ranks of advantage players.

Friday I received a text saying my college journalism instructor passed away. No real shock since he was not in the best of health. But even though it was expected it still hurts, A! LOT! Tributes have poured in by the hundreds for a man who had an impact on countless lives and made us all better.

Jay Berman...............................It was an honor to say I knew you and could call you a friend!

The Los Angeles County Coroner released documents Thursday revealing that Lisa Marie Presley died of a small bowel obstruction in January.
A summary of the coroner’s report on Presley, who was 54 at her time of death, also ruled that she’d died of natural causes. At the time, authorities had said Elvis Presley’s only child was hospitalized after suffering a cardiac arrest.
