The El Paso shooter was worried about old white people dying in Texas and being replaced by brown skinned people who would vote Democrat and eventually turn Texas into a blue state. Click on the link in post 94, when the president asks what should be done with immigrants crossing the border and someone yells out "shoot them", don't you think at that point instead of laughing and making a joke, he should have said something along the lines of, listen folks, we know there's a problem at the border, but violence isn't the answer, there are many constructive ways he could have responded to that idiot's comment, but laughing it off and making a joke about it isn't one of them. You're an intelligent guy, you have to see the president has played a part with his ant-immigrant rhetoric, of course he's not totally to blame, but words matter, and when he says things that embolden the likes of the El Paso shooter, he most certainly deserves some of the blame.

Your assumption is wrong. Nobody said the media suddenly likes Trump and his policies. What the media is doing is accepting Trump's talking points about the economy. Zero push back. The reality of the economy is a totally different story than the false narrative being pushed by the White House. White house says the greatest economy ever. Jobs, Jobs, Jobs. Record stock market.
The reality is, job growth has slowed under Trump, Stock Market growth has slowed under Trump and the deficit has exploded under Trump. If the media was dong a good job they would report this instead of accepting the false narrative coming from the White House and Trump surrogates.
BTW, The mayor of El Paso has told Trump to stay away from El Paso. Sound familar?

Let's take a step back for a minute here. We have a goof who drives 600 miles to kill Mexicans. Obviously he's not a reflection of the republican party (hope not anyway). I've been busy all day, don't know if there is a motive for Dayton or who the killer was. The answer is some sort of national gun policy. I have no idea what can be done, making them totally illegal is out of the quesion and unenforcable. I'm not a gun owner.
Getting back to Mr Top - factory jobs leaving the city is a big deal, but having kids at 14 YO may be a bigger deal. These kids are all from broken homes and only know this lifestyle.. Knowing Chicago will have 50 more shootings next weekend and nothing will be done - theres your crime. We know that the news would rather cover the potential racial El Paso shootings instead, that ties in Trump.
Tell me again BR how the news is catering to Trump?
