We saw it yesterday, he's terribly unprepared. they know he cant stand in the pocket and look downfield, so it's all quick short passes , they can let her rip with blitzes knowing he cant burn them.

The under has been bet down big already. There could be a lot of FGs in this game, the Raiders love playing for them now. D Adams has complained about not getting the ball, so we’ll see if that changes.

We know Hoyer is bad. We don't know much about T-Bag. Higher ceiling but also a lower floor. I would say its a positive they chose him over PJ Walker, but we are talking about a player personnel dept that is very questionable about judging talent. IMO, no reason to bet this game.

Hoyer’s last win was with the Bears, around 2016.

You would think with Garoppolo's history of injury they could have searched for a better back up, or at minimum go with the rookie.

0-12 in his last 12 starts before today. Not sure how he’s still rostered. Barring a dumb fumble 6 by Fields against Denver, the Bears should have 3 wins. Tells you how bad the bottom 10 in the league are.

Per a league source, there are rumors in league circles linking the Bears to Commanders pass rusher Chase Young.

It seems odd on the surface, since the two-win Bears hardly fit the profile of buyers. But this would be a long-term play for the Bears, if it happens. The Bears, who have significant cap space in 2024, would want to acquire Young and keep him, with a new contract.

Exactly, is there any player or coach on the bears that would be considered "in demand" on any other team, they must have a decent lineman or defender or two, but that's about it.

Fields is obviously a bust, this season is lost so you may as well let him play and cement that impression, then they can move on. I doubt this tayson is the answer either.

Commanders trading DE Montez Sweat to Bears for second-round pick​


The Washington Commanders are trading Montez Sweat to the Chicago Bears ahead, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday, per a source.
Chicago will receive a second-round pick in exchange for Sweat, per Rapoport.
In five seasons with Washington, Sweat, 27, has collected 35.5 sacks, 85 QB hots, 47 tackles for loss and nine forced fumbles.

That would be a step in the right direction. IMO, pass rusher is their biggest need. They have a bunch of young DBs; a weak pass rush puts more pressure on them.

Washington has 25 sacks so far. Sweat and Young have 11 1/2 of those. This Sunday should be a get well game for Mac Jones.

One big difference; last year they were dealing with a player the Steelers were willing to unload. This time its Washington. 180 degrees difference between competence of those two organizations.

Bears/Saints game was absolutely shocking. When was the last time a team was PLUS 5 in turnovers and didn't sniff a cover? They also were penalized 65 less yards than the Bears. If the Bears are only minus 2 in turnovers a good chance they would've won outright.

Good spot for the Bears this Thursday night. Quick turnaround home game against a rare team who is weaker than them (Carolina). Not a good setup at all for Carolina. Frank Reich was fired by the Colts just about a year ago, and you know he wanted that game badly vs Indy yesterday. They had a bye a couple weeks ago and the team has improved significantly defensively the last 2 weeks; 198 yards allowed to Indy and only 229 to Houston. But the Houston game was right off the bye and Young's chance to beat Stroud. Yesterday was the Reich personal revenge game. They likely spent a lot of bye week preparing for those two spots. Also have to like the under here at 40 1/2.

Arizona in all out tank mode. Ridiculous they started Tune with Murray a week away and traded Dobbs, who engineered a win with 0 practice reps for the Vikings.
