Back to the grind, I was on a flu diet last week, lost 10 pounds and couldn't eat anything for a couple of days, I prefer to take it easy betting when that's the case, it's hard enough when you're 100% focused...

What exactly makes it easy to back the leafs? One extra day of rest? I don't really see it, their trip from Dallas is actually closer than trip in for Toronto and Leafs traveled in last night.
Lightning are crazy good at home(19-4). Their PP leads the league while the leafs have struggled, TB is 6/21 since Jan 1st ,while Leafs are 1/12. Aside from Marner, Tavares and Reilly, all of the Leafs offensive players are struggling. Andersen is trying to get up to speed after injury while Vasilevsky is possibly the best goalie in the league right now after his injury stint. Leafs PK has been really good lately, I'll give them that but Bolts' not far behind.
Tampa has won the only meeting this season 4-1 but Leafs badly outshot them. TB won 5 of the last 6 H2H.
True, this is a big measuring stick game for Toronto, maybe not so much for Tampa. Toronto has faded badly since Dec 1st, they are only 1 point ahead of Boston AND Montreal and only 4 points above the playoff line, something that was so far in their rear view mirror a month ago.
Leafs need this more but they always struggle on their Florida trips with other distractions like fishing, the beach, etc... Not exactly the vegas flu, but still a factor.
And now on Friday I will be looking to play Florida. Leaves WANTED this game in Tampa and they got it. Now they have to make a short flight and play an inferior team with almost certainly a backup goalie and they might come in "fat and happy" and be very ripe for the pickin by Florida. To me it is Florida or no one Friday in this game and I will almost certainly be on Florida - especially how awful the Leaves are in Miami
All right... time to right this ship. ugly summary coming shortly
