I think the championship is going to be in saudi arabia.(or one of those other little arab countries nearby)

That's not a joke, i heard rumors about that - supposedly the women are thrilled since they are paid shit.

As far as the PGA's new money initiatives goes, it's gonna be great for guys like rory - who just made 18 million, who makes another 10 on the course and prob more in endorsements, who will no doubt be at the top of the PGA engagement money that'll be doled out in a couple months - rory should get another $10 million for that. if i was him I'd be kissing the tours ass too.

The fact is the LIV tour is paying everyone more, not just the guys at the top. that's why its so dangerous to the PGA tour, they dont like the idea of paying the guy who comes in 50th(actually 48th) over a 100 grand.

Has Rory said a single word about helping the bottom 100 guys on the PGA tour exempt list? Nope.

Rather big news today on the LIV front(considering the PGA has been copying them) - they are now allowed to wear shorts, looks weird, will take some getting used to, I believe slightly less than half opted to wear. The worst looking one by far is oosthuizen, not sure if it's his body or the shorts but he looks funny.

There are 60 members in LIV…only 48 players eligible to play in Chicago this week…who determines who plays this weekend? I don’t think the Saudis pay players to sit on the sidelines….hoping Sergio takes a deserved seat for withdrawing from Wentworth….

Most likely the little known players from asia and europe will be the ones to sit, I highly doubt sergio will be one of them. I see people have their panties in a bunch because sergio pulled out last week and then flew to alabama for a football game. i suspect of the 60 there are several that weren't going to play anyway.

Stuff like that makes me like sergio even more, he owes them nothing, he does owe LIV something, wentworth/DP tour he owes nothing.

Nice to see Ian Poulter ignored/defied their request not to wear LIV apparel during last weeks tourney, who the hell do they think they are?

According to the LIV website there are currently 68 members in LIV.

I would guess that they have an "elite" 48 that get the first shot at signing up for each event. After a certain deadline, any openings are filled by request from the leftovers (20).

Yup, stenson dropped out in the last tourney with an injury and someone was ready to jump in with only a few hr's notice. i would assume at least 2-3 are on standby. they kinda need a full field for the team aspect.

Looking forward to this weeks tourney in the chicago area.

it's not confirmed, could be BS. What's so shocking about it is that Rahm has been very outspoken against LIV, although he sid day he didn't like the new schedule that was announced, which basically forces him to play 20 weeks whether he likes it or not. Not 20 random weeks which most golfers could manage, but 20 specific weeks.

Possibly, I'm sure they'll get someone, that's all that matters, they can go on a shopping channel if they have to as long as people can watch it. most of the time these rumors turn out to be mostly true - for instance after the fed ex playoffs there were reports that 7 players would switch - turns out it was 6, these reports of 4 more going next year will likely turn out to be at least 2 or 3..
