I’m not sure that “disciplined” is the right word.
I do use a higher “standard” (whatever that’s worth) here than I do in my daily picks thread. Obviously the fewer contest picks required per month, the pickier I can afford to be.
I don’t weight the plays in my picks thread but I do use a weighted system when I actually bet them, and obviously only the top-weighted stuff makes the contest cut.
I don’t see anything wrong with what you’re doing though, as long as you like the stuff you’re playing. In fact doing it this way ensures that you won’t find yourself in a situation where you’re scrambling at the end of the month and you wind up having to bet stuff you don’t necessarily like.
Toronto is LITERALLY the ONLY team in the league that I still felt ok with a 2 run lead and 4 innings of Baltimore pen. That offense is beyond dreadful. (And it shouldn't be. No less than half a dozen players in that lineup are drastically underperforming their career numbers.)
