Correction and resurgence of the oversold stocks are taking place, but the expected second quarter recession may put a more clearer perspective on more realistic numbers. Lows will be retested.

I'm sure the fed and Congress will be back at the bargaining table in the coming months as we have not seen the last of these monthly stimuli, which will have unfortunate ramifications going forward.

I think they are off until april 6 for "recess".

but if things go south fast they will be flying back to the table to print more money.

Small businesses were promised to receive $10,000 in emergency funds within 3 days. It's been 9 business days and not a penny has been given to small businesses. Donald Trump loudly claims millions have been deposited in small businesses bank accounts and the government is doing a great job getting the money out. The link below reports the truth and tells a totally different version than Trump is trafficking. Very good read.

If i was trump and the republicans, I would stop any more stimulus, any more money for unemployment, etc. The dems use that as an excuse to keep things shut down, take that away and the clamor to get back to work will come right to their door.

Americans are highly anticipating the release of the federal government’s coronavirus relief stimulus check, but the timeline as to when payments will be released has been unclear at best.

One plan outlined the first wave of payments were going to be dispersed Thursday, but all indications thus far show those payments didn’t come.

Officially, the first wave of payments should arrive in April, according to IRS website.

The IRS website says the agency “will start sending payments in April."

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has not given a specific timeline beyond the expectation that payments will go out “within three weeks". Mnuchin said that during a coronavirus task force news conference in March 29.

News outlets have reached out to the Treasury and IRS for comment on the timeline, but no spokespeople were available.

A payment schedule obtained by the Washington Post showed money could be deposited between April 9 and April 15, depending on how quickly banks process the payments.

Several News4Jax readers wrote in saying they had called their bank and were told no payments from the federal government were processing.

Yeah lets not pay unemployment to people who have paid into it...and some for many years.Brilliant Einstein !!!

If you take his post in context, he meant no additional unemployment benefits in an additional stimulus package. There is no way they would cut off all unemployment. Ever. And certainly not in these times.

I really don't care. Its kinda irrelevant at this point.Lets just help out the big boys regardless of how much they have made over the years. The people who made this country just might need a little more help than usual here
They're getting very generous benefits for 4 months, not one dime more.

Listen Dude lets give some people who are at the lower end of the pay scale a chance to take care of some basic necessities.IT S not asking that much.Lets use common sense and move on

Listen dude. You are too dumb to understand basic economics. We already gave almost every American $1200 free dollars. Do you realize how much money that is? What it could do to the economy? If we keep doing that?

Free handouts when things are great with the economy are one thing. But this is a very delicate balance right now. Printing money is a dangerous game in the long term. For ALL of us.

There is talk of giving everyone 2000 a month for the next five or six months....Bernie Sanders lives!

There are already instances of dead people getting monthly handouts....

Proposal: You Get A $2,000 Stimulus Check Every Month

As millions of Americans receive their $1,200 stimulus check today, a new proposal would give you $2,000 a month during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Here’s what you need to know.

Proposal: New Legislation

Two House Democrats want to enhance the $2.2 trillion stimulus package known as the CARES Act. Representatives Tim Ryan (D-OH) and Ro Khanna (D-CA) have introduced new congressional legislation — the Emergency Money for the People Act — to provide $2,000 per month to Americans who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Under their proposed legislation, the congressmen would continue monthly cash payments to eligible Americans until employment returns to pre-COVID-19 levels. “A one-time, twelve hundred dollar check isn’t going to cut it,” Rep. Khanna said. “Americans need sustained cash infusions for the duration of this crisis in order to come out on the other side alive, healthy, and ready to get back to work.”

That $2K crap isn't going to happen, why even talk about it? They also propose every other dumb idea the left promotes, none of that's going to happen either.

And by the way, $2K? Why not $20,000 a month per worker, heck why not $50K, lets go big.

forbes maybe so but not every view... the 2 democrats are just aiming high to get something

You dont get it. Not even close to every American got 1,200. Not even close.

When you find out where the 500B that Steve Mnucin is disbursing let us know. Trump fired the Government Official that was in charge of overseeing the handling of the 1/2 trillion. Dont forget to let us know. There's zero government transparency on the 1/2 trillion so good luck.

Some of these things are so dumb. They did the right thing in supplementing unemployment, but as some have pointed out they made it better to be unemployed than take a lower level job so they shouldn't go any further. The stuff for small businesses is good too to the extent its paycheck support which in reality is just reducing the expenditure on unemployment, plus it keeps rents getting paid. The fact the PPP ran out of money is so typical, its not hard to figure out how many small businesses there were and know they needed at least 3 times as much money for it with fewer restrictions. But giving out $1200 per person or more is just crazy right now. There is nothing good to spend it on, you aren't really supporting much economic activity. The money would have done good if it came near the time of reopening, but if its not then people are going to pay their bills or put it away and forget about the rush of getting it once all stores are open and you can get on a plane or drive somewhere.

Typical of the country getting into partisan fights at a time of need. If they are focused on letting doctors make some decisions, they also need to focus on letting good economists make others. Even the most ardent conservatives would have agreed with giving more unemployment money, that was a no brainer if you wanted the money to be put back into the economy. The small biz and bailout money certainly has its good and bad, but most would have agreed to some degree it was needed. The checks to everyone under 75k would have been widely panned as just yet another tax cut to bust the budget more without any real assurance it would efficiently drive economic activity, which is what all this money should be doing.

round 2 of payments down the road.
Cares act sent $1,200 to many taxpayers. But thanks to some sneaky, discreet tax clauses it will be sending an average of 1.7 million to 4 out of 5 millionaires. Its a travesty, a fascist scam. The cares act is a scam that lacks transparency. What's happening with the 1/2 trillion dollar slush fund that was supposed have a watchdog but Don Corona immediately fired the inspector General. Attached link reports that 4 out of 5 millionaires are getting 1.7 million in stimulus.
