So The Cromwell (formerly Barbary Coast) is charging $227 per seat per day for March Madness . But you get 3 drinks plus your choice of a gourmet pizza or hot dogs....hurry...seats are limited.
but they don't have a sportsbook
In this age of Uber and Lyft, why would anyone rent a car in Vegas? Just bring some comfortable walking shoes.
i stayed at red rock last time I was out there for 8 days and it was only $107 to rent a full size from alamo for 8 days. Hard to beat that.
What time of year was that rate? I usually go to Reno in March but the wife is up for Vegas, so who am I to argue?
I will be comparison shopping MLB win totals. Looks like a lot of value has already been sucked out of Orioles and Royals unders. Wish I was there for the openers.
Nevada Landing?!?
Seriously?
They closed over 10 years ago.
There was another casino a few miles from that site back in the 70's. I may be the only person who remembers it.
Pop's Oasis.

The Strip is for suckers.
Good line, Crazy Pete, and mostly true.
But here's one reason I prefer the Strip properties over some of the local sports books: There's money in the crowd and optimism in the air unlike the local joints where guys are scrambling for dollars and negativity rules the day.
Rental rates have shot up you have to dig for a good rate now. I could usually find a rental that was less than the tax itself.
For my next trip 185 for a week all in for an SUV
Memory lane;
New York steak
Baked potato
Dinner roll
Salad
-$2.00 every day midnight to 6 AM
at the Horseshoe Coffee Shop
are you sure that wasn't the Fremont? They ran the $1.98 NY strip for years
I rented a full size car for a week (3/14 to 3/20) for $155 all in.
Vegas is ok Nothing special any more that's for sure.
I predict Fish will see the light and move within the next few years....:lightbulb:

if going to multiple places per week or month renting is cheaper than uber & lyft.
I prefer to drive myself around
Will be in Vegas next week for 4 days of March Madness. Best time ever
I use the added insurance from AMEX 20 bucks for the duration of the rental
