It's gonna be an interesting next month or so - the bluest states are heading for a repeat of 2020 with masks, school closings, likely stopping sports, possibly even closing some business's.
But unlike last time when pretty much every state voluntarally went along with it, this time 40 states will not, we'll have two completely different americas, considering the media is based in NY and DC they're gonna go nuts when it's obvious few are joining them in the hysteria.
The CDC has dug themselves a hole with these dire predictions of 15000 deaths/week, if that doesn't come close to happening(and we'll know in just 2-3 weeks) they'll lose even more respect.

As one data point, here in South Africa we have done basically nothing.
No increased lockdown. No one I know has changed behavior, canceled plans or anything like that (unless forced to by travel bans).
So far that is working out fine. Don't panic.

Heart inflammation is a near term effect of the vaccines - all of them. it's the long term effects that could be devastating. We may not see them for another year or two or three. No doubt each booster will only make it worse.
It is interesting that athletes in europe seem to be dropping like flies while in the US we've seen very little. Is it possible that the vast majority of athletes in this country "faked" their vaccinations?
I've been hearing that in places like NYC with stricter vaccine mandates rich people are paying homeless people to get their shots and boosters. obviously it would be much easier for an athlete to do the same.

i ate at a restaurant last night in NYC. I was talking to the owner. He was telling me the people have to come in wearing masks then can take them off at the bar or their table. He was laughing saying the virus is only at certain heights. LOL It was 100% full 2 weeks ago. Now can only bring in 50% capacity. He said he was on an 8-hour flight from Europe. The people have to wear masks. Then can take them off at snack and dinner time. He said where does the virus go when we take off the masks? LOL

90% of america is normal mr top, the reason you poor bastards still have that nonsense is because you obey. My governor came right out and said a month or so back that one of the reasons he wont declare another emergency and require masks is because in 75% of the state they wont listen.
I see Biden's big covid speech is today, the big reveal is that they will set up a program where people can request at home covid tests - and get them mailed to them free, but it wont happen till late Jan at least, that should whip old omicron's butt.

Never been to europe, I've been to canada and mexico, does that count?
canada took the rules off i think. I don't know about mexico. Europe rules last i heard are still on. Problem is if you don't follow the rules the restaurant does not have to let you in or serve you. In NYC last night i had to show my vax card or i could not eat. Next it could be a notarized letter along with a pic of the doc giving u the jab.

You got that right, covid ended here a yr ago, hasn't been back since, cases are sky high as are hospitalizations, but few care about covid. Covid is a choice, you can choose to live in fear, wear masks that dont work, play games with various rules to enter places...or you can choose to live normally.
Most of the country is living normally, if I go to a bar or restaurant it's rare to see either a patron or worker masked, if you go to stores or casino's it varies from 10-20% masked depending on the type of clientel, otherwise there is no evidence there ever was a pandemic.
I'm sure some of you living in blue cities cant even comprehend that, but it's true. I heard that these at home test kits are tough to find in blue states, most drug stores are out of them or they are at sky high prices, i also heard that in red states the places cant give them away - since few test unless they're really sick.
