Lucky as shit. I took the Nets but played the Clippers because by the time I could bet it, the Warriors were -2. Don't know why the line flipped, but I had the right side through no skill on my part. No plays today.

Going to close the book on this, as all teams are playing their last game of the season tonight. I made $116.50 betting 50 ATS and 50 ML, so I guess you could say I profited 1 whole unit. If this was an off year and it still showed + money, you may want to mark this one down for next year.

NBA 1st ROUND PLAYOFF CHASE:
HISTORY:
The NBA Playoffs 1st round used to be a best of 2 out of 3 series prior to the 2003-04 season. That was changed, and over the last 6 years, this sytem has gone 36-0.
THE SYSTEM:
Play on any #1,2, or 3 seed to win one game ATS. It is that simple.
WHY IT WORKS:
The playoffs bring out the best, in the best teams. During the regular season these top teams often take nights off, and don't deliver their "A" game 82 times, and the subsequent result is getting caught 5-7 nights a year in games they have no business losing, or fail to cover. It takes a team that may have finished 52-30, that in reality, if the 82 games were all playoff like games, they would have finished perhaps 57-25, so they are usually better than their SU & ATS record. The contrary can be said for teams seeded 6-8, where they need every game they can get during the regular season. So the lines are set according to the overall percieved strength of the matchups, and with the top teams playing "A" games every night in the playoffs, the odds of them covering just a single game are extraordinarily high. The proof is in the 36-0 mark.

Ned, I would think that the underlying theory for this system is that the first three seeded teams in the conference are generally far better that the last three seeded teams. That has been essentially true for all of your sampling, and is true this year in the East where the last three teams are well behind the first three.
But in the West, only 5 games separate #2 from #8, which indicate that these teams are much more evenly matched than normal. Because of that, I am going to apply one more filter, and play only the teams in the East.

Thanks guys, it's always a nice feeling when someone takes some cash from the man, he isn't easy to beat, so enjoy! Most things I have either breakeven or win pretty big, or sneak out a few units, not many turn into a disaster, so if you feel it, play it, if you don't ignore it!
