Re: The Barry-Barney Dow is heading for 5000
I can't the debt exists, but I don't see even Fox News lamenting about it. Our free market system is sound a little socialism for the poor folks doesn't hurt. And my example of the religious freedom is this: if you run a business, you abide by the laws of our government. If God is more important, then don't run a business. I was a horse racing fan for over 40 years. A long time ago I wrote letters to Hollywood Park and Santa Anita saying that betting on horse races wasn't a good bet because of the taxation. They take out 20% of each horse bet. What bettor can survive with those odds? I claimed that as soon as competition arrived, horse racing would be in trouble. In 1978, Hollywood Park was NUMBER ONE IN ATTENDANCE AND HANDLE. They averaged 35,000 fans a day. In 2013, she closed her doors. Horse racing has a lot of issues , but I tried to explain to them that their biggest issue is simple: YOU NEED MORE CUSTOMERS! And you get more customers by offering a better product to the bettors. Most fans have gravitated to casinos who offer gambling at lower taxation (house edge). And I don't blame them. Instead of going to the races a 100 times a year, I now make five visits. But admittedly my attitude and presentation was wrong. So I blame myself for that. When RP ran, I was feeling the same sentiments. Boy oh boy I'm glad he lost. When I saw he joined up with that Charlaton Stansbury I really felt sucker punched. But I give RP credit on one thing, he's a good actor. I really don't lnow enough yet about Rand yet. He may be like his dad but that's an unfair judgement if I haven't heard him speak yet. But like I said before, there's nothing wrong for preparing for bad times. A sound look at the odds say it's highly unlikely. I used to say its "inevitable" too because I let my mind go weak. That's why I keep asking you to prove your claims that we're heading for bad times? Obama has been bad for business?
