I'm starting to agree with Bushay, I think we see a finals rematch from last year. There's no doubt Stars have the edge in net with Otter over Skinner, but the Kings with Kuemper had the same edge, as did the Knights with Hill, and it didn't matter. The Oilers struggled the first two games of the playoffs, then something happened and they flipped a switch, and it isn't just McJesus and Draisaitl, they're getting contributions from the others as well, I have a future on Dallas to win the Cup, but I think they're up against it here, Rantanen is playing out of his mind, but can he sustain that level of play? Not so sure, think the Oilers advance.
The Panthers/Canes should be a rock fight, two teams with similar styles. I don't think Tkachuk is anywhere close to 100%, but so far in the playoffs it hasn't mattered, they're getting goals from all four lines, the additions of Seth Jones and Brad Marchand at the trade deadline have paid big dividends, I still can't get used to seeing Marchand in a Panthers jersey, LOL. They've gotten goals from 17 different players this postseason, that's a crazy stat. their defensemen have scored more goals and have more points than any other team in the playoffs, they're not reliant on their big guns to score. They play a style of hockey that wears opponents down, the Canes match up well with them, but until someone beats them four times, I'll keep picking them.
