But barely a peep about dustin J and all the rest, i suspect a lot of reporters, etc are jealous of phil and always have been.

By the way, at least Phil had the guts to have a press conference, you dont see any of the others doing that. I did see him asked if what he's doing is "growing the game", as if that's the motivation for any player.

I would think almost everyone just wants to see the best players - which is why the PGA is the bad guy in this. The LIV tour isn't stopping or blocking anyone from playing where and when they want.

Phil lost big money gambling and is trying to "earn" it back. He will lose it again if he continues.to gamble. Billy Waters set him up for failure. It is funny how Repubs worship at thte alter of schievement, but take free and/or corrupt money whenever available.

Interesting post - what's you opinion of the biden family - specifically hunter taking money from every corrupt body there is? He luvs that corrupt ukranian and chinese money doesn't he?

I highly doubt phil is broke or close to broke - he just wants more like everyone else.

Should they? In the last decade or so the total corruption of the corporate/ political/media structure has been exposed, truth are lies, lies are truth - men can have periods, male swimmers are women simply by stating they are, vaccines that dont work are essential lifesavers.

But now golfers are supposed to get upset because a journalist challenged an absolute monarchy, was subsequently killed in retaliation and that said monarchy is funding a golf tournament? I dont think so.

This has to open up some huge betting opportunities in tournaments like this weekend's Travelers with few recognizable names.

Eyeballing the final leader board, I didn't see anyone less than 20/1 (T10), pre-flop, and that was the winner's odds.

Not at all, I've never been a fan of the saudis', i dont like anything about them from their clothes to their religion, in fact i detest them.

But guess what? I think i detest journalists more and dont give a rats ass if some idiot like kashoggi pushed too hard against the king and got whacked. i actually enjoyed hearing that he was dissolved in acid, 2 thumbs way up to the saudis on that one.

The US has supplied them with hundreds of billions in weapons, right now the saudi's are involved in a war in Yemen that is very similar to what's going on in ukraine - and the US is supplying the weapons for them to continue it.

So you have the US govt supporting them, you have US defense companies getting rich, you have every president for 80 years snuggling up to them - including biden, yet now we're supposed to be upset because golfers want to play tournaments where they get paid more? not gonna happen.

I would say the golfers who are leaving for LIV are the only people involved in this with integrity, because the PGA tour, the talking heads on the golf channel, and the richest golfers like Rory sure dont have a drop of it.

I'm watching this LIV tourney and it's really good, lots of top golfers like DJ, koepka, , bryson, reed, oozie. sergio, beats the shit out of the sad sack john deere PGA this week with a bunch of nobodies

LIV is drawing dead based on cost. No chance to ever make a betting profit even if they succeed wildly. Then the product is a joke. Not real tournaments. Exhibitions. Goal was to damage the PGA and it worked because the PGA pulled a Leon Lett.

I see paul casey is the latest to jump ship, i watched much of yesterdays final round and thought it was great. Brandon Grace won and has now made about $6.5 million in two weeks of tournies, He made about $12 million in 13 years on the PGA tour.

Apparently the whole atmosphere of the LIV tournies is great, LIV pays for all the transportation and room expenses for everyone involved(including the caddies), so all the players are put up in the same hotel - this allows them to socialize like they never do at regular PGA events where everyone is basically to themselves.

Then you have the team aspect which causes more interactions and comaraderie, for instance pat perez shot 80 on the fianal round and still won $750 K in the team event plus his reg earnings of roughly $140K - players say it's almost like the ryder cup.
