I read an article that stated it perfectly, it said over the last 20-30 years or so the public's perception of the media has gone from suspicion, to distrust, to contempt, to hatred, and now to the worst possible thing, total indifference.

The media tries very hard to slant their coverage with anti trump headlines and pronouncements...and no one cares.

It’s not just Trump. Andrew Yang has complained about coverage also. The media has an agenda and want their person in charge. The media likes Bernie because he really doesn’t hurt their cause. If they thought he was a real threat, they would crap on him like Yang.

The point is it doesn't matter, which is what the media just doesn't understand(or more likely cant accept). They used to be able to influence public opinion, had huge power do do so(walter cronkite), with the rise of the internet it's faded away and the trend is accelerating, they have almost no power anymore to influence public opinion.

They trashed trump non stop BEFORE he was elected, and have been doing it for the last 3 years, yet he got elected and is likely to do it again, you would think they would learn and adjust, but they just cant.

It's a hard thing to admit you're washed up and dont matter.
