No reason for me to reconsider my position. What you should have done is suspend him for a week with a warning that any further attacks on his mother would then result in a month's suspension. Dell has been a long time member and a valuable contributor here, that should have earned him some level of respect, had you done the right thing and ban him for a week with a warning, no one, including him, would have had a problem with it, then if he's not on his best behaviour, it's his own fault for what happens. You overreacted by immediately suspending him for the entire month, I understand the reasoning, but you went overboard, it should have been a week, then put him on double secret probation. It's not to late to right the wrong John, you can unban him at the end of the week and give him a second chance, everyone deserves a second chance
If you say so, your actions say otherwise. And another thing, did you even consider the consequences of your actions? Before your month long suspension did you stop and think about the long term ramifications? If Dell decides to not come back, what do you think it does to this forum? Do you think it strengthens or weakens this place? Your personal feeling about him aside, we both know the answer as to whether this place is better or worse without him. If he doesn't come back, you've weakened EOG in ways you haven't realized, all because one member got his feelings hurt, even though that member has Dell on ignore, he only saw his posts the one time when he had to log back in, for as long as Winky is here he'll never see any of Dell's posts again. It's not to late to do the right thing John.
Bob called Dell's post "nasty", he also said he has him on ignore and didn't see the post in question, but somehow he knows it was "nasty", and it was a brilliant move by John to suspend him for a month. He's commenting on a post he didn't read, I would hardly call that a voice of reason. And Bob is biased against Dell, Dell is always pointing out the times he thinks Bob is manipulating his live bets in the BB thread, there have been many times Dell said he caught Bob cheating with his live bets, so of course he's going to side with John, siding with John even though he never saw the posts he called "nasty", LOL
Topper, the large evidence in this case are the posts Dell made in Winky's thread. None of us can see them however since John deleted the posts in question. so to summarize:

I recall the old days not that long ago when I'd pop into EOG and maybe read a thread or two, I'd leave and come back 12 hrs later and there might be 3-4-5 posts total across all threads.
