He proceeded with more tennis and soccer which all in all totalled about 3 or 4 illegal plays even after the first offense. I lobbied for JK salvaging half and others had conflicting opinions for full and no award, but the decision had already been made.

Exactly, I understand the reasoning behind the ban, I get it. What I have a problem with is the length. In hindsight, don't you think a one week ban along with a warning that if he messes with Winky again he'll get a full month would have been the way to go? Why didn't you just give him a week and a warning? I'd really appreciate an answer to this question. John, you've been here for 16 years, in all that time have you ever banned someone for 4 weeks? I know you've given out one week bans, and on occasion perma bans, but have you ever handed someone a 4 week ban? I'd appreciate an answer to this question as well. I've told you privately in the past that I respect you and have commended you on how you run this place, but I honestly think you messed up this time, I don't think you thought about the long term ramifications, you expect Dell to take his medicine and come back like nothing happened, but there's a very real chance he doesn't come back, in fact I'd make no return the favorite. Let's say you had to do it over again, and you knew for a fact that giving Dell a 4 week ban meant him leaving for good, would you still have done it, or would you have gone with my suggestion of one week and a warning? For the sake of EOG's future I implore you to re-consider and change the ban to one week with a warning, you don't spend a lot of time here, so maybe you don't realize just how important Dell is to this place, his thread is by far the most popular and probably the most viewed ever in terms of views per day. Also, yes I asked you to try and get Winky back, I like him, and my defense of Dell has nothing to do with him. However, I don't understand how Winky could have left because of Dell's "boorish behavior" since he has him on ignore, it doesn't make any sense, having him on ignore means he doesn't see any of Dell's posts anyway, so how could he have been bothered by them? It's my understanding, and Winky can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Winky left when Trump won the election, he didn't want to deal with the maga morons, so he left, I'm not positive on this and if I'm wrong Winky can correct me, but either way how could someone leave here due to another members posts when that person has him on ignore, doesn't make sense. Okay John, I was right about the reason Winky left and it had nothing to do with Dell. The presidential election was held on Nov 5th, the next day Nov 6th Winky sent me a PM saying he was leaving here, out of respect for him I'll keep what he posted private, but trust me it wasn't a coincidence that Winky left the day after Trump was elected. If Winky says it's okay, I'll copy and paste the message he sent me, but the reason he left was Trump winning the election, and had NOTHING to do with Dell. In light of this news now being brought to your attention, I implore you to reconsider Dell's month long ban and change it to one week with a warning.
