What kind of ulterior motive are you talking about? I can promise you my only intent in starting this thread and my defense of Dell is I think a 4 week ban is unfair and unwarranted. Unless John says otherwise I believe this is the first 4 week ban he's handed out. What he should have done is give Dell a week ban along with a warning if he makes any more posts in Winky's GC thread the ban will be increased to the whole month, what's wrong with that? Either Dell leaves Winky alone and we all move on, or he keeps bothering Winky which would result in a deserved month long ban, that's how John should have handled it. My defense of Dell and the point of this thread is because I think John handled it the wrong way, and me and Dell are friends, I'm standing by my friend who I think was treated unfairly. I'm sure you have plenty of friends, if you thought one of them was being treated unfairly I would hope you would stand by them and speak up for them. Also, if Dell doesn't come back it will weaken this place, that's just a fact regardless of how you or anyone else feels about him, his thread is the most viewed, EOG is a better forum if here's here, his absence drags this place down. I can assure you I have no ulterior motive, and TBH, I don't even know what you mean by that

For the sake of EOG's future I implore you to re-consider and change the ban to one week with a warning, you don't spend a lot of time here, so maybe you don't realize just how important Dell is to this place, his thread is by far the most popular and probably the most viewed ever in terms of views per day. Also, yes I asked you to try and get Winky back, I like him, and my defense of Dell has nothing to do with him. However, I don't understand how Winky could have left because of Dell's "boorish behavior" since he has him on ignore, it doesn't make any sense, having him on ignore means he doesn't see any of Dell's posts anyway, so how could he have been bothered by them? It's my understanding, and Winky can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Winky left when Trump won the election, he didn't want to deal with the maga morons, so he left, I'm not positive on this and if I'm wrong Winky can correct me, but either way how could someone leave here due to another members posts when that person has him on ignore, doesn't make sense. It's not to late to do the right thing John.

I'm in kanes camp on this, and I dont love dell, I often find him extremely irritating - talking in gibberish, obsessed with his cray bets that'll never hit., etc, however he does post and is genuine about it, which prompts reactions, which in turn keeps things hopping.

Winky on the other hand is a whiny little bitch and he's always been a whiny little bitch, soft, weak, fragile, easily rattled, constantly pouts, puts people on ignore because he's emotionally weak, sends pm's to JK making threats and begging for JK to handle his issues..

Dell makes a forum better and Winky makes them all worse.

As far as I know he did nothing wrong, saying winky's mom with blue hair looks like a crazy lib is not an insult, nor is it boorish behavior, boorish behavior is disappearing for 5 months because trump won an election and then coming back and trying to get the forums heart and soul banned.

Dell won't post here anymore, John screwed the pooch and it cost him the MVP of EOG, all he did was weaken this place, either he's too dumb to realize it or he doesn't care, either way this place won't be the same without him.
