Zach Gallen did not look good at all last night. 83 pitches only 43 strikes. When he was in the zone it was hit hard.

Means little, the teams that start 0-7 are typically bad teams who have no chance of the playoffs anyway, I doubt any of the previous 0-7 teams had the talent the Braves have. Albies, Ozuna, Olson, Riley all have track records of success, they won't not hit all year, and as I said. they'll be getting back Acuna and Strider at some point

I threw away some pizza money on Mervis ROY, at one time he was considered a big time prospect with the Cubs, to this point he's a bust, but I know he'll at least get AB's with Miami, maybe something clicks with him, at the odds I'm getting I figured what the hell

The kid has looked pretty good so far, of course way too early to project over a full season, but he's hitting with power. If this year's version of Mervis is the same guy the Cubs thought so highly of at one point, my ROY future could be live

And catcher Kelly left the game after getting hit on the hand by a Glasnow fastball. Lots of little bones in the hand.....never a good place for an MLB player to get hurt.

Having said that, a 16-0 win over the Dodgers in LA on Saturday and now 2 straight wins over the LAD.

Of all the major sports, baseball is the toughest to figure out. I can't explain the Marlins record any more than I can explain the Braves record, or how the Angels lead the league in HR's. or how the Reds rotation has been one of the best in baseball even though they can't score
