Saw a guy yesterday who wanted to stand on 7, he said he didn't want to take the dealers bust card, the dealer and the rest of us talked him into taking a card and he got a 10 for 17, he lost the hand and was pissed.
Why wouldn't he he took the dealers bust card
Stupid players dont think rationally, it doesn't occur to them that a 7 against a low dealer card is pretty good, you can get a 2-3-4 and then get a really good hand, or a 10 or ace and you're still much better than 7.
Just like playing poker the best players are always playing their opponents hand.
It is that way with poker(sorta), not so much in blackjack as even with a 5 or 6 showing the dealer will bust only about 40% of the time.
why is this even news? who cares. what so people are going to have a harder time winning at stations because they don't have their sheet with those covers.com stats on the back that allows the regular person to win?
Still terrible for business for the recreationals imo. They love their sheets and it will deter some from gambling there now.
last year I was in the black hills of SD, I was talking to a couple from out east and they were paying over $300/day for a rental, crazy.
At my buddy’s bachelor party a few years ago at MGM a group of college kids from New Jersey walked up on a table and one of em sat at 3rd base. On the first hand he proceeded to make the dumbest stand and it worked out for everyone at the table. We decided to play until his stupidity caught up to him. We played for over an hour and it was easily the most profitable table I’ve ever sat it with the dumb 3rd baseman saving the table almost every hand. They started switching dealers and the table finally went cold after the dealers started burning the deck early for a new deck. Totally shady but we left with sizable stacks.
Yea, it's just shocking a super rich guy went after his secretaries, etc. that never happens.
