Reality will always trump theoreticals.
You could be right about Neto. Bookmaker has a total bases prop today: Neto vs Bo Bichette. I took Neto +107. But wait, Bichette is a great hitter, right? Maybe in 2021-2023, but not anymore. Not sure if its been injuries but since the start of 2024 he's had 496 plate appearances and only hit 5 HRs. Batting only .242, slugging a weak .338 and OPS of only .626. WRC plus of 78. He signed a contract extension in early 2023 but it wasn't a giant contract. Maybe the league figured him out and he hasn't adjusted.
I see Moncada is back for the Halos. Always had big potential but never lived up to it on the South side. Maybe a change in environment will help. After a good start I know the Halos have really struggled, around 5-15 last 20.
How can Ward be a number 3 hitter for the Angels? He comes up in the 9th inning, Toronto ahead 4-2 but the bases are loaded with nobody out. He HAS to drive in a run here. He already has struck out twice earlier. This time he takes a called strike 3. No situational awareness. Soler bailed him out with a bases clearing double to end the game. Ward, batting around .180, should be DFA’d.
I'm skeptical. In the past couple weeks, they've gone 6-0 against the White Sox and Colorado. For Kansas City to be over .500, let alone make the playoffs, Witt needs to play at least 155 games. He is a great player, but take him away, and that lineup is weak.

They're waiting for Lugo, a T30 prospect to develop in left field at Salt Lake. He was moved from the infield. I'm sure the move to left means Ward's days are numbered.

That's Joswa Lugo who's 18 and a top prospect. I was referring to Mathew Lugo. Coincidentally he was called up today.
I’m aware. No need to post every time he homers. I think all the lefties homered off Taillon. Holmes was very impressive. The downward break is as good as anyone’s.
Horton will pitch. Don't expect any more than 2 innings from Keller.
I don't get it. Horton has been a starting pitcher his whole life. Don't mess up his routine. Is this to baby him so he doesn't have to face Lindor, Soto and Alonzo? Disagree with that thought process. Let him sink or swim on his own.

I thought Dell was crazy with this, but 6 weeks in, the Tigers and Cubs might have the best team chemistry in MLB. Of course we didn't know PCA would become a star this early; the potential was there. Definitely a 5 tool player. With Detroit, the biggest surprise has been the play of former Cub Javy Baez. Baez was 2nd in MVP voting a few years ago (2019 maybe?). Then after the Cubs traded him (for a low minor league level PCA), he went into the toilet. Right now Baez looks like the Comeback Player of the Year.
Like the MLB Network graphic showed, 59-28 since 8/11/24. That's impressive.
