I can’t back Lester at -250 with their BP. Good chance there will be rain in Chicago for this also. It’s about 50/50 that he blows up anyway, but do you want to back Seattle?

Big six game stretch for the A’s vs Angels and Tigers. Plus a completion of a suspended game vs the Tigers so in essence a 7 game stretch. If a wildcard is to be claimed they can’t be blowing games like the last two vs the Skanks.

Anthony Rendon is quietly having an MVP type season, all the pub goes to Yelich and Bellinger, but Rendon has been brilliant all season

Here is where Rendon ranks in the NL

BA 1st
RBI 2nd
HR's 12th
OB% 2nd
Slug% 3rd
OPS 3rd
2B 4th
Runs 4th

If you were asked to name the top players in the NL, his name probably doesn't even get mentioned

His father, who is originally from Texas, and now lives in Las Vegas, is a degenerate sports bettor who can be seen in Boulder Highway sportsbooks and sometimes Westgate with a fistful of parlay "lottery tickets" ("ten teamers" and similar).

The Mets as we all know had a massive bullpen meltdown in the 9th inning last night against the Nationals. .Ironically simultaneously So did their triple A team. The Syracuse Mets were in a one game playoff against the Wilkes Barr Scranton Yankees to determine who would advance into the international league playoffs from the northern division .
Syracuse had a 13-6 lead going into the bottom of the 8th and
LOST 14-13.

Time for Dad to upgrade to Wynn or Encore.

Anthony Rendon makes $18 million this season and he should break the bank in free agency this winter.

Scott Boras represents Rendon.

I like how Mark Grace and a few, but not many, have done it. Sign only 1 or 2 year contracts. As long as you don't suffer a debilitating injury, you make more money. And you also get much less resentment from fans. There's nothing fans hate more than to see a guy underperforming knowing he has another 5 or more years left on his deal. It also keeps the player hungry enough to remain focused and intense.

I'm not sure his son funds his gambling habit. I heard a rumor a few years back that the father had an EBT card (I believe that's a food stamp debit card).

The rumor is not speculation. It's just that, a rumor, but it certainly doesn't mean it's true. I have no direct knowledge. I certainly have direct knowledge of the sports betting as described in post #216 of this thread.

My guess is that his son bought him a house in Las Vegas, but that's pure speculation on my part. Maybe the Father had a place in Texas he sold and used the proceeds to buy a house in Las Vegas.

Anyway, his son is certainly quite a baseball player.

Peace. Out.

Has anyone noticed the DBacks are only 2.5 games out of a WC spot? They've been playing great ball of late and are quietly flying under the radar

Every time the Yankees and Red Sox play a weekend series, it's always the ESPN Sunday night game, I get it, it's Yankees/Red Sox, I understand why they do it, but I'd much rather watch Nats/Braves or Cubs/Brewers, both games are much more meaningful right now

the bettors always want games on tv that count.. The casual fan if there are any who don't bet ( ha ha ) want the yanks redsox in the north east. The only thing that means anything is home field vs astros. They should schedule 2 games... or split the viewers with the network..

Can’t wait to hear Boras scream collusion when his client doesn’t get that 6-year $180 mil deal.
He'll get something around Arenado's deal from someone. All the big spenders reset their luxury tax base so he will find a market. Justin Turner might be starting to decline, could see the Dodgers trading him out for the last year of his deal. Someone else will pay $20m for that kind of production.

the best team @ probably the worst team only 14.5 ? I think caesars has it right at pats -16.

RI books will only print out NE tickets this week.

The key is having his client in camp for the entire season.

Foxbet had the NFL Houston game up at -3.5 till about 8am eastern time.. It was on the screen at 8.5 - 9.5 all night... feeding time at the zoo.

There was a receiver named Arthur Jackson for Eastern Michigan playing against Illinois today. I knew I heard the name before. Just forgot it was from a Monty Python sketch.
